Haerin prevented herself from sighing for the hundred times as she was driving to Jake's mansion for the big party. She really had no will to go there but Minji insisted so much she just couldn't refuse. Especially when her friend assured her there will be no Danielle around. She ultimately understood that Minji just wanted her to relax for a day.

Haerin made everything she could to not look affected by what was going on in her head these days. No one could tell she was going through a heartbreak because she started to act like a robot again. However, it wasn't that easy to fool Minji. The tall girl knew Haerin even better than she did herself and the cat-like girl was self aware of this fact. So she thought that if she went to the party and had fun or at least pretended, Minji would feel less burdened and worried about her.

When they entered the mansion, the two friends quickly parted way. Minji got dragged away by her basketball teammates as soon as she arrived and Haerin went on a journey to find some shots because she felt like she needed to drink a bit to relax and look less tense.

That's when all the chaotic mess started. At the moment they lost each other in the dense crowd...

"What do you mean she disappeared?" Minji frowned over the phone.

"I don't know! She said she was going to the grocery store to buy some snacks but it's been way too long since then." Hanni replied on the other side of the line.

"You think she's coming over here ?" Minji asked, a bit worried of what drama could happen again.

"I don't know... She seemed a bit suspicious of everything. I'm not really good at lying, Minji."

The Korean girl pinched the bridge of her nose, trying to not get mad. "That's fine, it's not your fault. Thanks for informing me."

"Hyein should be at the party too. I'll tell her to find Danielle and distract her. I'm also coming over to help." Hanni said quickly.

"Alright. Be quick, I missed you." Minji said softly.

Hanni giggled. "Don't worry."

After hanging up, Minji started to search for either Danielle or Haerin. However she couldn't find any of them. The mansion was huge and she started to lose hope.

As she was going to the third floor, she accidentally bumped into someone that tried to go downstairs in a hurry.

"Sorry." Minji mumbled as she kept walking.

But the person grabbed her arm. "Minji, is it you ?" Hyein asked. "Oh my god, I'm glad you're here. I think I just saw Danielle going downstairs."

Minji stared at her a bit dumbfounded, she still felt so awkward in Hyein's presence. "Are you sure ? I'm just coming from there and I didn't see her anywhere."

"Yes, I recognized her outfit. You must have missed her. Let's go." Hyein said as she was going down some steps.

"I'm still going to check the third floor." Minji said, just trying to avoid the other girl.

"I just checked there Minji. Come on. There's no time to lose." Hyein huffed as she dragged Minji by her arm.

"I don't trust you." Minji protested as she was struggling to hold back on the rails. "How the fuck are you so strong ?"

Hyein pulled Minji's arm one last time. "There's no time to be petty, Minji. Do you want to prevent a catastrophe from happening or not ?"

"I'm not being petty." Minji blustered as she gave up and started to follow Hyein.

"Yeah.... Sure... I'll act like I believe you." She said sarcastically.

Then, they went to the second floor and started to check all of the rooms one by one. At the middle of the hallway, Hyein opened the toilet door and quietly signaled Minji to come closer.

"Look. She's at the sink washing her hands." Hyein whispered before discreetly closing the door.

"So, she did come. Thank God we found her before Haerin did." Minji sighed.

"See ! I told you she would be there... You should thank-" But Hyein couldn't finish her nagging since she saw Haerin's silhouette at the end of the corridor. "Oh my god... Haerin's there." She mumbled.

Minji turned her head and her eyes went wide open. "Hyein do something but don't let Danielle come out of that room. I'm going to take care of Haerin."

Hyein nodded and entered the toilet in a hurry as Haerin was making her way towards Minji.

"Oh !? Minji, what are you doing here ?" Haerin chuckled, she was obviously a bit tipsy. Her hand was almost reaching the door handle when Minji blocked the way.

"You can't go in here." She blustered nervously.

Haerin frowned in confusion. "Why ?"

"Because... Ummm... Because...." Minji stuttered, running out of ideas under the pressure.

Haerin squinted her eyes skeptically as she was analyzing her best friend's face. Minji's hair was a bit messy, her cheeks were pinkish, and her breath was shaky because she had to run around the mansion and also a bit because of stress. Moreover, she was sweating and her makeup had faded a bit away. Connecting all the dots in her fuzzy and blurry mind, the cat-like girl totally got the wrong idea.

"Oh my god... Minji ! Who are you hiding in there ? Is it Hanni ? You guys are gross !" Haerin exclaimed under the influence of alcohol.

Minji slapped her own face in spite. "Haerin, stop talking nonsense. I'm not hiding anyone. Hanni and I aren't even together yet."

On the other side of the door, Hyein was also having a hard time restraining Danielle. After a few minutes, she thought the two Koreans were gone. So she opened the door, but they were still there and the cat-like girl saw her head coming out of the room. In the panic, she pushed Danielle back inside and got out alone.

She chuckled awkwardly while looking at Haerin and cleared her throat as she was also making sure to block the door with her body.

"H...Hi, I'm Hyein. Maybe Minji talked to you about me." She said nervously.

"Hyein ?" Haerin repeated, trying to recall who that was in her blurry mind. Then, she gasped loudly in a dramatic and scandalized way while her gaze was jumping from Minji to Hyein. "What in the enemies to lovers is happening here !?? Minji ! I thought you loved Hanni ?"

Minji slapped her arm. "You're completely tripping, Haerin. You know I'll choose death over Hyein !" Minji exclaimed, completely outraged.

"Bro. I'm literally beside you." Hyein sighed.

"...Sorry." Minji scratched her neck awkwardly.

"Anyway, there must be a misunderstanding. Minji didn't let you go inside because I just plugged the toilets." Hyein said calmly.

"Dude..." Haerin made a disgusted face. "Fine, I'll go to another one." She said before leaving the second floor.

Minji looked at Hyein completely amazed. "How can you lie so easily?"

Hyein shrugged. "But you owe me one. That was absolutely embarrassing."

While the two Korean girls were getting a bit distracted, Danielly finally found the way to burst out of the toilets. She gave Hyein a hateful stare, visibly not pleased by the fact that she just got locked inside.

"Where is she ?" Danielle asked coldly.

"What are you talking about?" Hyein said, trying to play dumbs.

"I heard Haerin's voice. Where is she ?"
