Before I start this chapter, I want to say that my heart goes out to everyone in Brazil right now. It is a heartbreaking situation and I hope that everyone is safe. I also want to say that my DM's are always open to talk about this or anything else. I love you all <3.

For the next two days, Taylor couldn't help but look forward to Travis's arrival. They had decided to meet in New Jersey at the airport, as it was on the way back from Jack's wedding. He had flown private to avoid being noticed, and Taylor had discreetly switched seats with her security in the back of a Walmart parking lot so it was just her in the car. Even if it was only for a few hours, she needed some time without security being imminently present, even if she knew they would be waiting at her destination.
When Travis quickly slipped into the passenger seat of the car, neither of them could keep their excitement to see the other hidden.
"I know we said you would come to New York, but I had a different idea."
"What's your idea?"
"How do you feel about Rhode Island?"
"I will go anywhere you want me to, as long as we're back in time for me to leave."

Approximately three hours later, the car pulled up to the gate at the end of the house's long driveway.
Taylor pulled the car into the garage and the two of them grabbed their bags before entering the large kitchen. The lights were on and there was a man walking around, catching Travis off guard. As he looked over at Taylor, her lack of concern told him this was typical.
"Hey Aden, thanks for being here."
"Not a problem ma'am. I've already done a sweep and I haven't seen any paps here but I'll make sure to keep an eye out."
Travis just stood there awkwardly, not sure what to do in this situation.
"Like I said, we'll only be here for a night."
"Well I will stay out of your way. Please, let me know if you need anything."
"Of course Aden. Have a good night!"
"You too." He said, before turning and walking off into another wing of the house.
Taylor finally turned her attention back to the man still standing in the kitchen.
"Security." She said with a shrug, just in case Travis hadn't picked up on the fact.
"Yeah, I figured."
"Here, let me show you to your room."
Taylor led him up the stairs and to one of the many guest rooms in the house. She stood in the doorway as he set his small duffel bag in the corner. Rather than turning back to the singer, he walked farther into the room, eyes fixed on the view out of the large french doors.
"It's beautiful." Travis could faintly hear the sound of the waves crashing on the shore through the glass.
"Yeah, it's really what drew me to this place. I could sit outside and watch it for hours." It was true - she had done that plenty of times before. Something about the rhythm of the waves breaking and the smell of salt always grounded her.
"I should get started on dinner." Taylor said, realizing how late it was. The sun had already set and they hadn't stopped to eat anytime on their drive in case they were recognized. "How do you feel about pasta?"
