CHRISTMAS IN A NEW TOWN

chapter five

Toni tries to sit down in front the television but it makes her uneasy she got up walk around the yard but that didn't help Eddie didn't come and she felt lonely not having him here, she thought of calling but didn't she just couldn't sit still so she clean the last set of places the walking closet was the last place she entered the things she found there it seems her God mother was in with the fashion there were things she wouldn't fancy but being caught up with herself she started trying something she used a very old blouse to clean the mirror since it was a walk in it has a huge mirror what she didn't fancy she threw them a side thinking of giving the others to charity although they were long there they seems to be in very good condition, it was best to give it to some one than throw away well she wouldn't give the older ones but the ones looking good she would, in stead of garbage bags she stocked them into some of the boxes that she had removed things from, she spent time separating them there were some nice shoe made from pretty leather jacket to match she leaves back a few for her own, she google the Texas city charity organization calling the number to tell them about the things they said they would come on Monday she pack them in a pile leaving them in the closet she clean it making it fresh, the carpet was nice and fluffy she felt her feet sank down in to it like the feel of wool it was that cream color like the sheep's skin she never thought she would love the place so much but it feels like home, then there's Eddie who she think is so nice his kisses sweet and his lips like marshmallows she love his daughter and his grandmother too they were all together nice people a family she would want for herself,
She finished everything make some soup sat in the livingroom over it and television she relax watching a few advertisements that went on on on a hallmark movie started she watch it for a short time her body was cool she took a shower then call Angela they talk for a long time she even gave her a view of the house
"Wooh girl it's nice I love it" Angela said
"Me too girl it's a home" Toni said
"Is there a pool?" Angela asked
"It is empty I think it need fixing"
"So you planing on fixing it right?" Angela asked
"Oh yes the guy that do the repairs I want to see if he can work on it haven't talk to him about it yet"
"So you're staying longer than two weeks?" Angela asked
"Only if Chris comes up he said by Thursday he'll let me know" Toni said
"Oh so he'll come then you guys stay for Christmas?" Angela asked
"Hopefully but you know chris" Toni said
"You and I can visit sometime" Angela suggested
"You can come over now" Toni told her
They both laugh
"Darling I wish" Angela said
"Yeah I know" Toni said
They talk for longer hours before going off to bed,
Toni lay there thinking on Eddie she haven't seen him and was missing that chance of admiring him,
Eddie sigh he roll to his belly putting the pillow over his head hoping to fall a sleep but the thoughts of Toni keeping him up all kind of thing going through his head, he get lest sleep but jump up at six he has to get about business before they go to church,
Toni got up before she even took off her night clothes she went to the garden she made coffee sat down around the table stretched her legs out on another chair, she didn't call her husband this morning thinking if it's that he need a break she'll give him one, she'll call tomorrow,
Sunday went by Toni didn't see Eddie comes she know he would go to church but by this she figure he must be home she thought he would at least come to check if everything was complete, Night fall without her seeing him he didn't go for he wasn't sure what to go far Monday he dropped Hariel at school and went to the lounge to help out his grandmother Toni didn't have a reason to go out apart from seeing Eddie but she use the excuse of going to get a iron at the shop close to them then stop by to see them,  it was late afternoon when she went out for she had was to wait for the people to come from the charity organization, she left, by this time already Hariel was there from school,
Toni walk in Dorothy turned and look at her grandson,
"Toni" Hariel said running to her,
"Hey Hariel" Toni hugged her rocking her both sides, "you always make me feel welcome" she said kissing her forehead, "hey Dorothy" Toni greet the older woman,
"Toni how nice to see you how are things?" Dorothy asked
"I'm doing fine" Toni answered
"How you getting a long at home?"
Getting a long great still have some fixing to get it the way I want it"
Eddie look her way,
Toni wave,
"Hey" Eddie said
Toni walk to him at the counter, she stood looking over at him,
Eddie shyly look back,
"I thought you would come to the house" she said
"When today was there something?" He stop speaking
"I'm talking Saturday, yesterday in the afternoon and today, I wanted to ask if you know anything about pool" Toni said
Eddie smile "so you want to know if I can fix your pool?"
"Well maybe I should just ask if you have the time I know you can do everything" she said
Dorothy smile,
"I can see what I can do, did you start the garden?"
"Oh yes I start the garden, so will you come tomorrow?"
Eddie nod twice,
"Good try being a little early ok"
Dorothy look at her grandson then to her great granddaughter who stood grinning
"I'll come right after taking my daughter to school" Eddie said
"I will be waiting" Toni said she didn't know why she was developing such a feeling for him, apart of her saying remember you're married you're in love with your husband, the other part is to run to Eddie's arms that part was a more powerful part lord knows she has to be fighting hard not to
"I'll be there" Eddie said
Toni nod she walk away to go to Hariel, "had fun today at school?" She asked
"I did I got some home work" Hariel said
"Home work when it's coming on Christmas"
"I'm to make a Christmas card for my teacher the best one gets a high grade"
"Wow that sounds cool"
"Yes" Hariel said
"Need some help with it?" Toni asked
"You'll help me?"
"Oh honey of course but you'll need some nice colorful papers some glues stickers and glitter" Toni said
"Those are at home" Hariel said
"You don't take them to school?" Toni asked
"I leave them there"
"I bet the book store got all that we can get it there"
"I'll have to get some money from my dad, dad can I get some money?"
"come let's go get them I'll pay for them" Toni said
"You will?" Eddie asked
"Of Crouse why not?" Toni asked taking Hariel's hand she took some money from her bag left it on the table she and Hariel went down to the book store,
"I warned you to be careful with Toni she's a married woman I don't want anymore broken heart for you" Dorothy said
"Grandma what you getting at?" Eddie asked
Dorothy held her hand up to silence him, "I know she's pretty and hard to resist but she's married"
"I know I'm not trying to do anything other from helping out" Eddie said
"Good very good" Dorothy nodded before turning to her customers who came in for tea,
Toni got the things they needed for the Christmas card she help Hariel to fix it up it was big and nice Hariel love it Toni made it look so fancy Eddie remember she told him she is a floral designer
"Amazing" Dorothy said
"Thank you Dorothy"
"Thank you nana
Toni and Hariel said
They smile at each other then at Dorothy
Hariel show it to her dad he gave a thumbs up, Hariel giggle
"Well I should go all the best" Toni kiss Hariel's cheek "Dorothy take care"
"You too dear" Dorothy said
"Tomorrow Eddie" Toni said
"Sure" Eddie said
She turn to leave Eddie watch her walking away  Dorothy look at him and started humming
Eddie shook his head
Toni got to the house drove right into the garage let herself unto the entrance room and took the stairs up to the dressing room,
She had found the place where the iron and iron board was kept and put the new iron she just bought with the board  the one that was there had stop working it seems the cord went bad, she was glad she had found it when she did giving her a reason to go to town so she could see Eddie, it was as if she couldn't wait to see him in the morning,
She fix some dinner later shower climb into bed,
She call Chris as she said she would he was still out doing some client for he said people were trying to get homes to move in for Christmas, he said "I'll call you when I get home" but because Toni have a feeling he wasn't going to she went to bed,
Tuesday morning Toni made it out of bed before six went to her garden took a shower have some thing to eat and wait for Eddie to cone he got there by quarter to ten,
Toni went to the porch he was park in front the porch, "Morning" Toni called out to him,
"Morning" he said back  getting out the van he had gotten some stoppage for leaks before he come over just incase he discovered where the pool was leaking,
He got to the front porch Toni smile at him, "welcome" she said
"Thanks" Eddie said
"I can get you anything?"
Eddie shook his head,
"You don't want nothing at all?" Toni asked
"Not now" Eddie told her,
"So when later?" She asked Eddie look at her the look in his eyes gave her goose bumps, "come on" she said leading the way, they went out to the pool and Eddie climb down
"Where can I get a hose?" Toni asked
"I have one" Eddie said
"Is it long enough?" She said sarcastically, grinning
Eddie widen his eyes and shrugged
Toni held her hands up grinning,
Eddie shook his head,
He look around but there didn't seems to be an unusual Crack or anything the pool seems fine except it could use some scrubbing he found the let out drain and check it,
"What's that?" Toni asked
She was now on her knees by the pool side,
"Thats the let out area" Eddie told her,
"So do you think that someone let it out instead of it leaking?" She asked
"There's a possibility"
"Oh ok, so are we going to try it?"
"We're going to try it" Eddie said he was still walking around, there was another capping up the top he reach up Toni saw what he was reaching for,
"Need help?"
"Try open that small capping" he said Toni went to try it she lift it and water started rushing down
"Hoo" Toni said jumping quickly she close it and the water stop,
"I'm sorry you ok?"
"I'm fine do that again" he said
"Are you sure? Electricity and water don't mesh you know" she grin,
"Ah, ah, ah" Eddie said "You are very funny" he made a face at her
The way his dimples light up his cheeks make him so handsome his lips so cute she could kiss him, again a she had done before She was just staring at him blink less,
"Do you mind?" He asked walking to the steps that leads in to the pool,
"Let's wash it fill it up and see what happens?" Eddie said
"Ok" Toni nodded she stop the rush of the water "I'll get some detergents and some bleech"
Eddie nod at her he wanted to tell her to put on her swim wear too but he avoid saying it, but the way she came back he can't help to think it was to tease him the shorts she wore was enough to drive a man out his mind thinking of getting her laid he had took his clothes off as well in his underpants
Toni try not to stare but he was like magnet to her steal,
"Shall we?" He asked
"Oh yes" Toni hand him a wash cloth and some detergents with the bottle of bleach they both went down the pool wasn't far way be low their knees, the wash and scrub Toni do  one side Eddie to another they were scrubbing towards each other without knowing until they came colliding Toni laugh and Eddie chuckle,
"It seems we're done" Toni said
"So It seems" Eddie said
"Fine let's let it out rinse it and let's fill it up"
"Ok mam, you're going up there, as you can see I'm unable to reach it from here" Eddie said
"Ok mister you making the calls" she left him there he watch her walking up the small steps to get out the pool her pretty ass wiggling as she walk he felt an arose bite in his lips as his heart thump riddimless, his eyes follow her around the next side to where the little capping was
"Ready?" Toni asked flying the cap before Eddie gotten the chance to respond
"Hey!" He grasp as the unexpected flow of water rushed at him
Toni grin, "you wasn't ready?, I asked you if you were why didn't you say something?"
"You believe it's a joke?" Eddie asked
Toni cover her mouth as her eyes has this wide expression,
Eddie shook his head he went down to open the drain Toni went back in he was coming up when he back in to her, Toni held his waist she had wanted to feel what he was like his body hard but he was smooth like baby oil Eddie turn into her they stood staring at each other Toni find it so difficult to move away but Eddie remember she's married she won't be his and his grandmother said she don't want him suffering a broken heart he's sure this was where this was headed so he backed away they finished the pool closed the drain then went up,
"I'll get clean up" Toni said
Eddie picked up his clothes forgot they were a bit wet, he flashes it as Toni watch him, she smile "here let me take it I'll get it fresh for you"
"Thanks" Eddie said handing it to her,
Toni left him to watch the pool while she wash and dry his clothes, the pool was all filled up when Eddie closed off the water and went into find her, he walk in the laundry room just them she turn it was right into him, she held her upper arm,
Toni grasped from his touch she shiver and shake,
They stood searching each other eyes, Eddie lean in claiming her lips Toni held his waist his skin smooth under her palm his lips soft an gentle it was as if she could kiss him for ever,
Eddie pull back stepping away from her "I should go" he said
"You really should" Toni said with a smile sliding her finger down his chest, she exhale harshly going around him leaving him to get dress, she swear this man was going to let her loose her way in which she doesn't want to she love her husband inspite of,
"I'm going now" Eddie said to Toni's back she turn to look his way he was getting in his shirt the way his breast plate jump she trimble,
"Ok" she said
"If you see like the water is going down call me in the morning" he said
"Ok" she said
Eddie nod
"So what you doing tomorrow"?"
"What you want me to do tomorrow?" Eddie asked
"I really want to paint the outside of the house, my husband said that he might come up on Thursday I really want the out side to have a brighter appearance" Toni said
"No problem I'll come brightened it for you" Eddie told her,
"Thanks" she said
he was walking away
"One more thing" Toni follow him, he stop by the door for he was about to go out,
"Do you think I can get the poolside fix?"
"What is it you want to be done to it?" He asked softly,
"Pave around it get rid of some of the grass get some pool side plants and chairs make a gazebo a small one"
Eddie smile, "All that won't be done by Thursday but I'll see what I can do" he said
They were standing close although Toni didn't want to loose her way she didn't want him walking away with out kissing him one more time, she lean into him kissing him, "Please go" she whispered between his lips,
Eddie nod he left quietly
Toni walk behind him to the porch he could see her from the mirror as he got in his van he drove off leaving her there, He was somewhere distance from her house when he stop to breathe he hold on to himself he was feeling hard he stump the steering wheel hissed at himself, he started the van speeding to the lounge,
Hariel had gotten some high marks for her Christmas card she was excited She run to her dad hugging him Eddie lift her to him,
"Dad I got so much for my card, I want to tell Toni thanks can you call her please?"
"I can call her" Eddie said he set Hariel down to take his phone from his pocket
Toni was out watching the pool the water was still at the head of it it look so pretty the color was sky blue she wondered if she could go for a swim but she didn't want to go in and when she got out she'll have to put her feet on the grass she was there contemplating how to do so her phone rang on the table in the kitchen she left and went to get it, it was Eddie, "hello sir did you forget something?" Toni asked
The phone was on speaker
Dorothy look at him,
"Toni it's me Hariel" Hariel said
"Hariel......... would that be under the sea Hariel?" Toni asked
Hariel grinned
"Oh it sounds like her" Toni said
"Hariel giggle
"That's definitely her" Toni laugh "how are you Hariel?"
Hariel giggle, "I'm ok I just want to say thank you I got such good marks, the best marks"
"Oh wow that's awesome it was that good" Toni said
"Yes everyone love it"
Toni chuckle "I'm glad I could help congratulations"
Hariel grinned
"So you say school will be out tomorrow?" Toni asked
"Yes! Fi-nal-ly" Hariel giggle
"Finally ah" Toni said
She laughed "What you doing the day after tomorrow"
"On Thursday? nothing special I'll be here with dad and nana"
"Can we go for a little sight seeing I haven't seen half of the town as yet and you know I will leave on Saturday, that is if your dad and greatgrand nana is ok with it"
Hariel look up at them
Dorothy nod looking to her grandson she didn't see why she can't go with her,
Eddie nod too
"I can come" Hariel said
"Ok so I'll see you then" Toni said
"Bye" Hariel said
"Bye" Toni said
They hang up she lay in the sofa for she didn't have nothing to do she didn't feel hungry although she haven't eaten since breakfast she was on the sofa and fall a sleep didn't woke up until late she didn't move just spend the night there, she was up early to do her gardening it didn't take long this morning before Eddie came and they went to see how it was with the pool before he started on the outside painting the front of the building, he did the garage door with the green he use in the living room
"Wow!" Toni marvel
Eddie look at her
"It is looking good" she said
Eddie look at her again
They both smile,
"I'll come early tomorrow to finish up" Eddie said taking up his things
Toni nod she didn't want to try and stop him at any point she was still shaking from last night kiss she would want him between her thighs if she kiss him another time, she wasn't sure he remembered that she was going out with his daughter she reminded him he said he'll come anyway he's hoping to get done before her husband got here too for it was best he didn't meet the man he so badly want to share his wife.
