CHRISTMAS IN A NEW TOWN

chapter eleven

After breakfast Toni and Hariel took a swim they went for a walk and put their things together for the event in the evening, they didn't have the energy to do more than sit together and watch tv, they had went to bed late and was up early they water the garden together and clean the front porch before they had breakfast and had went for a walk later when it gets closer to evening Toni fix Hariel's hair and make it nice since she would be playing Mary her hair will be covered so it was just a simple catch back that make her look nice,
They got ready and by five they left for the school pageant
Toni called Eddie and they were on their way they actually pulled in the driveway at the same time Eddie park and got out
"Dad!" Hariel ran to him he picked her up and kisses her cheek kissing her a lot making sounds and make her giggle
"She was only gone for a day" Toni said
Dorothy laugh,
"Hey Dorothy"Toni said
"How are you dear?" Dorothy ask
"I'm ok" Toni said
The teacher responsible for the pageant Mrs Daniels ccame to get Hariel and the others who were to get ready to get in their costumes,
Eddie lead the way in where he found a seat upfront for himself his grandmother and Toni
They were seated for half an hour before the show begin it was going well but Toni couldn't wit to see the act of baby Jesus and Hariel's role,
It was a nice little skit with some funny parts the settings were just right for the role being play and Hariel and the others played their part Toni video as it goes on, the wise men were three little girls that was funny the baby in the manager was a eight years old boy from Hariel's class,
"I love it" Toni said with a laugh, they met Hariel at the door after the act they went back stage they serve them a little refreshment before they were sent home,
Hariel hugged Toni said goodbye to her as she was ushered to get in the van,
Dorothy was getting in the van when she over heard her grandson's conversation with Toni,
Eddie scratch his head shyly "you said I'm to swing by after?" He asked
"You do that I'll be waiting the key is where it's always been you can let yourself in"
Eddie nod,
"Have a good night Dorothy" Toni called waving
"Bye Toni love you goodnight" Hariel said
Toni came up to the van lift her cheek smile at her she get goosebumps on hearing that "I love you too Hariel" she kiss her forehead and hug her, "we'll have sleep over again" Toni said
"Before you leave?" Hariel asked
"Most definitely"
Hariel smile,
She step back for Eddie to drive away she went to her van and left herself,
Hariel said good night to Dorothy at the bottom of the stairs they share a hug and she went up with her dad Eddie read her a story she falls a sleep Eddie wrapped her up kiss her and left the room, he grabbed another quick shower and sweet himself up inspire of going through this before he went to the school pageant, he  was on the stairs going down when his grandmother came out from the kitchen
"Going out again?" She asked pretending not to have heard the conversation between him and Toni earlier, she knew he's going to see her what ever plans they made,
"Yeah I'm going to run a few errands and come back" Eddie said
"Errands at this hour?" She asked it was ten ten pm
"It's the time I get grams, I'll be shortly" he kiss her before going towards the door,
"Just be careful" Dorothy said to his back
He turn when he reach the door and nods to her,
Dorothy shook her head, "these now a days adults" she murdered "ah my mother", she said taking the stairs and go in to her great granddaughter's room to check on her even though her father just stepped out,  she went  to her room to fresh up herself then climb into bed,
Toni took a shower and use some body cream and perfume she put on an underwear with her robe and went back down stairs there was the small bottle of wine chilling in the refrigerator she have a small amount and went back to the living room she thought to keep it chilling and offer some to Eddie when he gets here,
She was sitting on the sofa at about eleven twenty when the door knob turned Toni stood up when that happened he came in the door close it with a click, he walked over to her,
Toni smile up at him,
Eddie back his shirt off lift her to his hips taking the stairs they got to the bed room where he lay her in bed, the love share between them before was nothing compared to this it was so heated it felt as if fire was raging in the room,
Toni back into his chest and let out a hard moan, stretching back her hand she held his hair, "oh Eddie!" She said deeply, the heat from his breath on the back of her neck as he breath on her his hips moving in a pleasing way "oh Eddie she said once again easing forward gripping the spread she tries to keep up with him as their hips turned in one she  came to a climax gripping tighter to the spread, he became quicker on his movements he pushed her forward and lay her flat on her tummy stretching out on her back his waist still moving he soon to let out a harsh moan and sank into her kissing on her neck,
They lay like that for sometime neither wanted to move,
"You're more than beautiful Toni" Eddie whispered kissing her forehead he roll away from her to lay next to her,
Toni roll over so they both were on their side facing each other,
"You got me feeling crazy about you, I lost myself as if I forget I have a husband to go home to" Toni said with a smile,
"Can I talked you in to not going back and stay here with me?" Eddie said
Toni laugh, it was such a feeling she was experiencing with him she didn't feel she want to go back with what's going on between her and her husband, she try telling herself that they're not really breaking up but is it really so she can't give him what he wants and she's not getting his time and Eddie was making time for her,  but she was afraid that when he learn she's a barren he might not want her like her husband, "Isn't your love more making more than talking?" Toni asked
"Are you saying you want more?"
"Well yes unless you want to play dressing up and play pillow fights"
"That's what you did with my daughter?" Eddie asked
"We didn't get to the pillow fight" Toni said
Eddie smile, he push his hand down her belly to play with her clitoris causing her to moan he slide is finger into her open space ,
Toni moan grip his hand to keep it there slightly turning her hips he pulled it away lay on her and enter her for another round of love,
"Mmhm" Toni said when she felt the kiss on her back luckily she woke up remembering who it was that spent the night in her bed, "morning charming" she said with a chuckle
"Mhmm" Eddie said kissing her more, Toni face him he was leaning over her his naked body cold next to her, she rub his chest and grin,
"You skipping gardening this morning?" Eddie asked
Toni sat up she shook her head, "no I won't skip, it was that good and I would love more but I need to do the garden" she climbed across him to sit down kissing him,
She cross the floor to the shower,
He watch her to the door,
"Think you want to join me?" She asked
"No not really" he said
"Boring...." Toni said
Eddie laugh he heard the shower running before he got up to go join her Toni giggle as he stepped in and hug his neck pulling him under the shower taking him in where they share another full filling love match,
"Where's dad?" Hariel asked she didn't see her father while her great grandmother prepare breakfast
"He haven't come home" Dorothy said
"Who's going to take us to work?" Hariel said
"It's still a bit early we'll get ready and wait"
"Nana what if he doesn't come them?"
"We won't open up today" Dorothy said
"Should I call him?" Hariel asked
Dorothy shook her head,"no dear don't call him let's just wait"
"Will you came back later?" Toni asked,
They were saying goodbye for he didn't forget he have to do things at the barn and get his grandmother to work
"I'll call you" Eddie said
"I'll be waiting" Toni said turning from the door,
"Wait" Eddie pulled her back, to feel on her before he left
Toni grin
He watch her in before getting in his van,
Toni went on with her gardening it was barely seven but she hope Eddie got to the house in time to do what he has to and drop his grandmother, she finish the coffee he was drinking and sit in front the television she felt overwhelmingly please and wanted to endorse in the moment she knew she have to do the kitchen but for now instead of work she's putting herself first and that was hat she did,
"What you doing man?" Noah's heavy voice came on the phone,
"I'm going to the barn" Eddie said
Jack have a work for us out at Huntsville can you make it?" Noah asked
"I can make it" Eddie answers
"Good meet us in town soon as you're done" Noah said he hang up and park
Hariel peek out the window and ran back to tell her Nana
Eddie walk in the kitchen she ran to hug him he pick her up and kiss her softly before putting her down,
"Grandma" he said
"Hey honey how are you you're just coming in?" Dorothy ask
"Got held up, I'll be ready in a short while" he said going to the back door to attend to the barn,
Dorothy wonder why his face looks that please when ever he encounter with Toni she's a nice girl not that she wouldn't want her grandson talking to her but she has a husband that's all she's trying to let him see,
One hour clears everything at the barn he cleans wash and feed he got back took a shower change grab his work bag and announced that he was ready,
"I am meeting with Jack and Noah to go on a little work" Eddie said
"We'll manage at the lounge you don't worry you need to work" Dorothy said
"I'll try to be back to lock up and drive you home" Eddie said
"Don't worry we'll be fine" Dorothy said
Eddie drop them off help to set the business up before taking off to  meet the others,
Toni called Angela and they talk on video chat
"Why you look so fresh as if you got no worries" Angela said
Toni laugh "I'm trying to cheer up" Toni said
"So what's going on my friend?" Angela asked
"I'm relaxing a little"
"What you husband doing?" Angela asked
"he's not going to come"
He didn't change his mind?"
"He's mad at me I won't bother him I'll just go home in a little while"
"I hope it's not before I come down?" Angela asked
"I'm waiting for you, you know that" Toni said
"You better" Angela said
They giggle
The conversation lost for a while as it would normally do before they hang up Toni went back to relax a while,
The work was going on fast but it was plenty to do and the person needed it it was getting to a point where they sees it impossible to leave and come back in the morning so they decided to stay and work through the night, Eddie wasn't sure how he was going to leave his grandmother and daughter stranded but then he remembers Toni and call she picked up on the first ring,
"Hey Toni I don't want to bother you" Eddie said
Noah and jack turned to look at him, they both didn't know Toni was still in Texas
"Bother me what happened is everything alright?" She asked
"I suppose so, I got a little work out of town and it's taking a little longer than should" Eddie said
"Oh ok, so you need me to swing by and check on nana and Hariel?" She asked
"Not just that"
"What else?" Toni asked
"I'm hoping you can drop them off for me, and stay with them" he lower his voice
"That's no bother at all I can handle a little baby sitting" Toni said
"Thanks so much Toni I owe you" he said
"Owe me why you owe me nothing I'm just returning the favor to someone who was kind to me"
"I not asking for pay back"
"I know that, later ok I'll call you when I'm there"
"Ok see you tomorrow"
They hang up,
Jack and  Noah turn to look up at him
"She's still around?" Noah asked
"Yeah she is" Eddie answer
"Putting in any work?" Noah asked
"I paint her gate the other day and fix her gate front"
"Gate front?" Noah asked
"I'm talking her front" he touch himself at his groin wining his waist
Jack laugh but Eddie shook his head he didn't say anything except to keep on working,
Toni walk into the lounge coming on the side where the coffee was serve she asked Dorothy and was given some she sat with Hariel to drink she was finished when she said "Toni asked me to give a hand in closing up"
"He bothered you?" Dorothy ask
"It's no bother at all" Toni said
"Ok well close in a while"
"I'm not in hurry" Toni told her
Since she wasn't hurrying Dorothy didn't rush to close up Toni drove them home
"Thank you dear" Dorothy said
"You're welcome I'm not leaving just yet"
"You're not?" Hariel asked getting excited
"Shhhh" Toni said when her phone rang it was Eddie calling he talks to Dorothy and Hariel before Toni who he thank for helping out she was glad she could for just as he could do for she can do for him.
"You're, you will be sleeping?" Hariel asked happily
"I want to think I'll be sleeping" Toni said she cross her leg and rest back on the sofa
"Whooweee!" Hariel said hugging her, Toni smile and rub her cheeks
"You want to sleep in dad's bed or in one of the guest bedroom!" She was still so excited
"Your dad's room a guest room what's the difference it's room which ever I'll take it" Toni said smiling
Hariel grin, hugging on to her,
"What will we have for dinner I'm sure you both must be hungry" Dorothy said she sat down stretching her legs on the foot rest of her special sofa
"Maybe I can help I can fix a Mac and cheese dish for us all" Toni said
"That would be wonderful Toni but can you manage?" Dorothy ask
"More than manage" Toni said
Dorothy smile she nod the ok
Toni went to the kitchen accompanied by Hariel in no time the Mac and cheese dish was ready to be serve Dorothy was still relaxing when she brought it to her
"Wow this is nice Toni" it was Mac and cheese but she didn't just cook it and serve it she add green beans and corn with melted cheese and bake it together to get that perfect desirable look and it was a fantastic taste too Dorothy enjoyed it, she thank her many times,
Toni and Hariel wash up and after Hariel took a shower and brush her teeth the three sat together watch some TV before Hariel was to go to bed,
Toni read her her bedtime story stay with her until she falls a sleep Toni went back down Dorothy was locking up so Toni help "Thank you again Toni for coming" Dorothy said she was about to go off for she have to open up the lounge tomorrow it's getting closer to Christmas with only three days in-between, Wednesday is Christmas and Dorothy haven't even plan her meal,
"It's fine Dorothy you have no need to thank me" Toni said
"my grandson's bedroom is to the left third door When you're ready to turn in" Toni nod with a smile "have a goodnight Dorothy"
"You too dear"
Toni watch her took the stairs she was left alone to watch some television she was so relaxed that she falls asleep before she blinked, she woke up in the morning just a little before it reaches five, she was looking forward to curl up into Eddie's bed but maybe next time she probably get to when he's in it, he sure kept a bed warm and active, she smile at her thoughts, she think he's really sweet she felt so drawn to him, he gave her such a wonderful feeling, if she was single then she would make him her's then again he wasn't single she flashes back to the restaurant incident and a laugh escape her lips it was a bit of embarrassing moment but it's life, Toni though of her husband it really didn't seems they care about each other anymore he was his way and she her way they haven't talked since Tuesday she wondered if she was to call him but then she think not to she know the condition on which he's basing his point he wants children she can't have them so maybe he's looking at it to say it's useless to be married to her, she still not going to feel down God made her and if he didn't see fit for her to gave birth maybe he has other plans who knowns he's still in the miracle working business sometimes it's faith and patience that works for us,
She stretch and got out of bed going out at some point she forgets it's not her place she didn't have a garden to attend to, she got some fresh air anyway Dorothy was up an in the kitchen, she was talking on the phone she smile and said she just walk in so Toni figure it was Eddie who calls,
"Ok dear just be careful and get home safely, yes I will, yes dear love you too, sure" she said lastly then the call died,
"Eddie wants to thank you again for helping out he said he's almost done and by midday they'll be home" Dorothy said
Toni smile, she nods to Dorothy
"I'm fixing a little breakfast" Dorothy said
"Ok" Toni reply
"Toni, Toni" Hariel said running down the stairs Toni met her at the bottom and she run in her arms Toni hug her to her,
Dorothy smile seeing the warm feeling she share with the little girl, and the way her great granddaughter love her it's to show she's a nice person,
They have breakfast and they got ready for church Toni had slept in the clothes she came in last night but it was what she has and she went to church with them,
Eddie was home when they got home from church seeing him lights up Toni's whole world he turn and smile at her she smirk and wave
"Dad Toni take us home from work yesterday and she sleep over then today we went to church" Hariel said
Eddie widen his eyes, "oh yeah really?"
Hariel nods with a grin,
Eddie turn and smile at Toni again
Dorothy didn't miss the lust,
"Now that you're here I'm going to leave so I'll see you guys" Toni said
You're not staying?" Hariel asked
"I'm not staying but I'll come see you" she rub Hariel's cheek kiss it
"You will come to dinner on Wednesday" Dorothy said
Toni nod
Hariel jump in excitement
"Tuesday there's a lot of excitement happening won't you stop by the lounge we'll be there for a while" Eddie said
Toni nods she got in her van and left for her place,
Since Toni was here for Christmas and will be having dinner with Eddie and his family she wanted to bring a gift for Dorothy she already make arrangements for the dog for Hariel, she went gift shopping Monday with only a day left between, the streets were full of shoppers going in and out of the market place Toni remember she haven't bought any meat she decided on getting a ham to oven roasted and some potatoes to roast with it and bring it to dinner she was going to fix one of that Mac and cheese dish like the one she did the other night at Dorothy's home but think to make it much fancier for it's Christmas she got all those things she wanted together two bottle of wines got the gifts and she bought some new clothes she might not go home right after Christmas and she had only packed for two weeks she did her laundry but it didn't make a difference she needed something fresh, she got slippers and shoe,
"Girl did you went shopping aren't you planning to go back home?" Angela asked on seeing the amount of things she got at the store,
"I'll go home but it seems my husband need a break so I'm chilling for a while"
"Chilling is there something you're not telling me?" Angela asked this attitude of her friend took her by surprise she didn't stay away from her husband for long and to think now she's in a strange town to herself and don't want to leave,
Toni just laugh
"Girl I want you to enjoy yourself God gave us one life, it doesn't matter the circumstances live your life don't let anyone let you feel less than you're worth" Angela said and that was facts
Toni grin"I heard you my friend, I love you so much"
"Ah I love you, so you did mention what you're doing for Christmas?"
"Going Christmas Eve having dinner with Dorothy and Hariel and enjoy myself"
"Of course why not, so who does Dorothy and Hariel live with?" Angela inquired
Toni laugh
"Dorothy sounds like a older woman the wizard of oz days old and Hariel a young girl in her nine ten"
Toni laugh"Hariel is eight, Dorothy in her eighties
"Her grandson Eddie who's a charmer is Hariel's dad and we gets a long"
Ahhh okkkk I see!" Angela said with a wide laughter
"He's the one who help me to set up myspace I can't wait for you to see the pool in person it's so cool" Toni said
"So his Eddie cute?"
You will have to be the judge of that"
"I'll come to you right after boxing day my husband's mom is taking the kids and since I'm coming he plans to go with them,
"Bring him a long" Toni said
"Not this time girl I want some time for us you and I us oh please I'm around my husband every day"
"Ohh okay don't sweat it girls time just us"
They giggle
"Go a head and fix up we'll talk later"
Ok" Toni said
They hang up and Toni grin
Angela turn into her husband who frowned "am I that in the way?" He asked "you said you won't take me to Texas"
Angela cover her mouth and grin, only this time but we're so going next time maybe we can take the kids"
He held her waist kiss her you go by yourself this time the next time you and I the other trip we take the kids"
Angela nod and patted his chest"all work out"
"Oh yeah" he said
They share a kiss before Angela left him to go to the kitchen where most there family were gathering,
Toni wash and fix the ham then put it in the refrigerator it was all season up and smelling good the scent of ground season fill the air, such a sweet aroma she fix other things and put away she wrote names on her gifts and put those for Angela and her family under the tree they won't get them until after Christmas but it didn't matter, she send a gift for Vincent after buying it from a on line store, sending it from her new york address,
It wouldn't be delivered before Christmas days but Toni was sure that he will receive it with all she had to do out the way she took her towel got in her bathing suit and head to the pool she let herself relax with out thoughts with out a bother she enjoy the evening with a free mind.
