It had only been a day since our reunion with the others. Andrew and I shared a small room, two bunks crammed into the tight space. I lay on one of the bottom ones, a thin blanket pulled up to my waist. Andrew sat at the edge, peering down at me.

"You're beat to hell," he muttered.

I nodded, tossing my left arm behind my head and immediately wincing. "Broken ribs, arm's a bitch, bruises everywhere. I'm basically one giant ache."

He let out a breath and stood, walking over to the window. Moonlight spilled through the glass, casting a pale glow over his features.

"What the hell are we doing here?" he asked quietly, more to himself than to me.

I turned my head to look at him. "No clue, my friend. We're stuck here unless we can find another way home that doesn't involve dying."

Andrew sat on the opposite bunk with a sigh. "So that's it. No contact with family, no way to get help. We're on our own."

"Yeah," I replied softly.

There was a silence between us, heavy but not uncomfortable. He lay back on the mattress, staring at the ceiling. "I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I don't know how you did it by yourself."

A small smile tugged at my lips. "At first I treated it like a game—didn't take it seriously. But it hit me pretty fast just how real it all was."

"I'm glad I have you here," Andrew said, turning his head. "Wouldn't choose anyone else."

"I kinda wish you had," I shot back. "A world full of man-eating monsters isn't exactly my ideal Saturday night."

He barked a laugh. "Fair."

I rolled my eyes and flipped him off. He returned the gesture with a grin. "Well, buckle up. Training will make you wish a Titan ate you."

Andrew groaned. "Fuck me."

I raised a brow. "Hey, maybe Erwin's into that. Worth a shot."

That got him laughing again. "Honestly? I'd let him peg me. The man's hot."

"Tell me about it," I murmured with a chuckle.

The room fell quiet. My eyes were already closed, my body surrendering to exhaustion. Sleep took me fast.

-Hours Later-

My eyes snapped open at the sound of pounding. Andrew sat up in the dark, silhouette barely visible. Heart racing, I swung my legs off the bed and staggered toward the door just as it flew open, slamming into my hands.

"OW! What the hell, Levi?!" I yelled, cradling my stinging fingers.

The short man stood in the doorway like he owned the place. No invitation, no warning.

Andrew caught my arm as I stumbled back. He glared at Levi, who just blinked at the two of us.

"You didn't answer the first time I knocked," Levi said, deadpan.

"That's because we were ASLEEP, dumbass!" I snapped. He rolled his eyes, gaze flicking to Andrew's hand on my waist.

"You," Levi said, pointing at Andrew. "Get dressed. Training starts now. You'll join my squad until this one heals. Commander's orders."

Then he looked at me. "Eyebrows wants to see you."

And just like that, he turned and walked out.

My mouth hung open. "Seriously?! No apology for the door slam?!"

I lunged toward the hallway, but Andrew held me back. "(Name), please remember who that is. Even if you were fully healed, you wouldn't stand a chance."
