-Chapter Fifteen-

-Nobody's POV-

It was about a month or two ago that Newt's mother Elizabeth came back into her son's life and Minho was not happy about it. Elizabeth acted like she never left her children's lives and she's even bossing around Harriett and Minho because of the fact that they are dating her children. Elizabeth wouldn't let Sonya hang out with Hariett and she wouldn't let Newt hang out with Minho. Elizabeth took Newt and Sonya and moved into a new house with them. This made Minho and Harriet furious. Elizabeth had been out of their lives for 15 years and suddenly she acts as if she never left them. That wasn't fair to everyone they met. Minho, Thomas, Sonya, Harriet, Aris, Newt, Gally, Brenda, and Frypan all applied to the same college where all of their favorite things were spots that they could study. Frypan wanted to be a chef and the College offered a chef's course, Gally wanted to be an architect and that was an option as well, Brenda wanted to be a mechanic for cars and she was able to if she got accepted, Aris wanted to be a vet and luckily for them the school had a course for that, Harriett wanted to be a blacksmith and there was an option for that as well, Sonya wanted to be a librarian and the school's library actually let students who applied for librarian work in the library, Thomas wanted to be a doctor and the school had a hospital wing just for that, Minho wanted to be a hair stylist and the students who took that course were actually able to style hair for money as practice, and lastly there was Newt. He didn't know if the school would accept him thanks to his criminal record and he didn't think they had what he wanted; still, he applied for theater as the school had the best theater program. A few weeks later the group had packed their things for a week-long stay. The college let all applicants stay at the school for a week so they can get familiar with the surroundings. Thomas was going to drive them all to the school, eventually he arrived at Newt and Sonya's house. Aris and Brenda went up to the door to let them know that they were there, but when they got to the door, they saw it was unlocked so they decided to walk in. Aris opened the door and froze before running back to the car as Brenda ran inside. "We need help!! Their mother isn't letting them leave! She's holding Sonya back and Newt is screaming upstairs!" Aris cried. Gally got out of the car with Minho and Harriet following suit. Thomas rushed out and grabbed Minho and Harriet. "Let us get them" Thomas said. "No! That's my girlfriend!!" Harriet replied, "and my boyfriend!" Minho finished. Thomas nodded and let them go following them. Minho and Thomas ran upstairs to search for Newt while Harriet, Brenda, Aris, and Gally tried to pry Sonya away from Elizabeth. "Let her go you psychopath!!" Harriet screamed. Once they got Sonya free, Sonya ran to the car with Harriet and Aris following. Brenda and Gally ran upstairs to help Thomas and Minho. When Brenda and Gally entered the room Thomas and Minho were in they saw Newt cuffed to the bed and Thomas crawling around on the floor with Minho looking in the closet. "What's going on here?" Gally asked. "That woman cuffed Newt to his bed, and we can't find the key!" Minho replied. Thomas then sat up "I found it!" He exclaimed as he stood up. Thomas walked over to the bed and un-cuffed Newt. The group then went to the car. Thomas sat in the driver's seat, Brenda is the passenger's seat, Gally sat behind Brenda in the second row, Aris was in the middle of the second row, and Frypan was behind Thomas on the left side of the car in the second row. Harriet and Sonya sat in the third row of the car while Minho and Newt sat in the fourth row of the car. Thomas had gotten this car specifically for carpools with his friends. He had gotten a dark red/maroon minivan. The trunk of the minivan was an open trunk, meaning that if needed, the person in the fourth row just had to reach back into the trunk without needing to get out of the car to open the trunk. They sat in the car for a long while, thankfully Thomas had given each of them a role for in the car. Gally was in charge of navigation, Brenda was supposed to take over for driving if Thomas needed a nap, Frypan was in charge of snacks, Aris was in charge of grabbing anything handed to him from the back, Harriet was in charge of helping anyone if they got car sick, Sonya was in charge of books, blankets, pillows, and drinks if anyone needed it, Minho was in charge of grabbing anything from the trunk if needed, and Newt was in charge of music. Yes, while Newt was in the back row he was in charge of music. Everyone agreed that Newt had some of the best music playlists they heard. What they didn't know was that Newt had separate playlists for each of them. For the road trip, Newt had made a special playlist containing songs that each of them liked. The songs he added for Gally were Hayloft and Hayloft II, Charlie's Inferno, and Mary on a Cross. For Brenda, he added Power, California Girls, and Sweet but Psycho. For Sonya he added, Girls just want to have fun, God is a Woman, and She Used to be Mine. For Aris he added, Weak, Worlds Smallest Violin, and Karma. For Frypan he added, Cake, Cake by the Ocean, and Boy in the Bubble. For Harriet he added, Savage, Pretty Little Psycho, and In My Room. For Thomas he added, Poker Face, Devil Doesn't Bargain, and Two Birds on a Wire. For Minho he added, All for Us, Middle of the Night, and Jenny. Newt also included some of his favorite songs like Your Stupid Face, Necromancin' Dancin', Little Miss Perfect, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Numb Little Bug, and Look at Me by Jann. He also added some musical songs that everyone in the car liked. Those included, Snuff the Girl, We're Not Sorry, Just for Once, If I Loved You, Cool as I Think I am, What Did I Miss, Sincerely Me, The Jet Song, Dear Officer Krupke, Cool, Michael in a Bathroom, The Ballad of Sara Berry, The Ballad of Jane Doe, Noel's Lament, Talia, and Not Your Seed. Newt connected his phone to the car by plugging his phone in. He pressed shuffle on the playlist and the first song that played was Little Miss Perfect. Newt got nervous about how they would react, but it seemed everyone loved that song as they all started singing along to the song. Newt smiled at the reactions. Once the song ended, Just for Once started playing. Everyone was having a blast and singing until it got towards the end. Everyone stopped singing as the song got to the high part. Newt and Sonya kept singing and surprisingly they both hit the note. Sadly, the fun had to come to an end, after a while the group arrived at the school. They all got out of the car and stared in awe at the school.
