I sat there stunned when the police officer dismissed my stalking report. I couldn't believe it. How could they not take me seriously? I explained everything that had been happening to me: the accident and the strange phone calls in the middle of the night. But the officer just sat there behind his desk, staring at me with a bored expression.

"Look, Miss Kim, I understand that you're scared. But there's really not much we can do without any evidence."

I shook my head. "But this person know where I live! That's why I'm asking for your help."

The officer leaned back in his chair, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Well, I'll tell you what. We'll keep an eye out for any suspicious activity in your neighborhood. And if you see anything that might help us, don't hesitate to call."

I felt like screaming. Wasn't that their job, to investigate crimes and protect people? Why weren't they taking me seriously? I left the police station feeling frustrated and helpless. What was I supposed to do now? I couldn't just sit back and let this stalker get away with it.

For now I tried to not think of the situation and distract my mind. It's finally Sunday, Lomon and I are finally going to the beach.
When Lomon and I arrived at the beach, we immediately stripped down to our swimsuits and ran towards the ocean like little kids. The salty air mixed with the cool breeze made me feel alive. For the first few minutes, all we did was splash around in the water and talk about everything under the sun.

Lomon had a contagious laugh, and every time he did, I couldn't help but smile. We talked about our dreams, our fears, even our embarrassing moments. Except about what was on our minds - our feelings.

As we walked along the shore, collecting seashells and taking pictures, I couldn't help but steal glances at Lomon. The way the sun reflected off his skin made my heart race. It was like I was seeing him for the first time.

After a while, we decided to take a break and sit on the sand. Lomon threw his arm around my shoulder, and I leaned my head on his chest. It was as if we had been doing this all our lives.

As we watched the waves crashing against the shore, Lomon turned to me and said, "You know, there's something we need to talk about."

My heart skipped a beat. Was he going to finally confess his feelings for me?

But before I could say anything, he continued, "I think we should go and explore that island over there."

I couldn't help but laugh. "You mean that tiny island? It's probably just a rock!"

But Lomon was determined, and before I knew it, we were swimming towards the island. It was harder than we thought, and we were tired by the time we got there, but it was worth it. The island may have been small, but it had a certain charm about it.

As we sat down on the shore, watching the sunset, Lomon turned to me and said, "You know, I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now."

My heart was pounding so hard in my chest, I thought it was going to explode.

"I just wanted to say," he continued, "that I'm really glad you're by my side."

That was it? My heart sank, but I tried to hide my disappointment.

"Yeah, me too," I said, trying to sound as upbeat as possible.

But as we swam back towards the main beach, I couldn't help but wonder - was I just fooling myself? Was Lomon ever going to see me as more than a friend?
