ENVOY: This is an utmost disappointment. Throughout my whole journey, I have been thinking about this shambolic experience that I had with th'Margrave. O, what will I tell Wizlaw? I have completely failed in organising something that would protect our island of pariahs. Not a single man outside of our realm wishes to help us. I highly doubt that after this, the Count will send me elsewhere to find another solution. Everything seems to just breakdown. Could it be that we are cursed for our beliefs? Maybe our gods are not the ones but there is a different one. Perhaps I should converse with the Bishop. But still, I cannot bring myself to abandon my own traditions. I will be a shame and disgrace for my ancestors. [he grabs the rope] What if I just wrap this very rope around my neck and end this disorder once and for all? Or what if I just mutiny and flee elsewhere to some far away kingdom? [he covers his face} I must not! I have to be a man and return to my liege. I am obligated to face whatever is thrown at me and protect my honour. Rügen relies on me and I shall not dismay't.
