"how can you say that right in front of me"
"Afternoon' Lu."Lucille exited her house that was sat right behind DX, she was clad in a plaid green and white skirt that went to her knees, a green knit sleeve top and white sneakers. "Hi, fellas."
The girl smiled at Steve and Soda, holding out two bottles of 'Coca Cola', "You're an angel." Steve pressed a kiss to the top of her head before she headed over to Soda, who grinned at her toothily. "Thanks, darling."
She grinned as she took a seat on one of the bins between the gas pumps, "So what's the plans for today?" Soda asked as he leaned on the gas machine, "Sneaking into the movies." She replied shortly, her tone with a tad bit of annoyance.
"With the kids." Steve laughed from the other side, "Oh shut it, Stevie." She shot him a glare, Soda looked at her sympathetically, "I am sorry about Dal, maybe you should talk to him."
"He doesn't know how to listen. You know him, Soda." She groaned, Soda stared at her for a moment before reaching down and wiping his finger under her lip. "Had something on your face."
Lucille nodded her head in reply, "Hey, Soda, Lu, here come the hobos." Lucille and Soda broke their stare away from each other and turned over to see Pony, Johnny and Dally, who looked between them in annoyance.
"Hey, Sodapop, I ain't got no cash." Dally spoke as he held up a windshield wiper, "Anybody wanna buy a windshield wiper?" Steve huffed as he came over to the group, "Come on, Dally."
Soda laughed at the boys antics, "Give him the money." Lucille shook her head as Dally pulled her up from her spot, pointedly nudging Soda in the back. "Hey, there pretty lady, ready to see a movie."
Soda glanced back at the pair, silently watching to see if Lucille would put her foot down, she didn't. "Yeah, sure." Soda shook his head slightly as Steve handed the group their money. "We'll catch you guys later."
The group waved goodbye, Lucille sending Soda a slight smile of reassurance that he didn't buy, she turned back. Walking hand in hand with Dally, she loved holding onto him, he was always so warm even when it was freezing out.
"So what's the movie about, huh?" Dally let go of Lucille to grab ahold of Johnny, who winced under his hold. "Ow! Dally!" Johnny called out as Dally dragged him down slightly, Lucille smiled slightly, wrapping an arm around Pony as Dally let go of Johnny. "Dallas, huh?"
"I don't know, Johnny. One of those beach movies. You know, the put out a whole bunch of em." Lucille smiled slightly at that, "We should head down to the coast in the summer, a little road trip."
She offered, both Pony and Johnny smiled at the idea, "We wouldn't have any money for that." Dally shot her down, she scowled over at him, "I've been saving."
"It's not happening, sweetie." Lucille fought back a snarky comment, when they entered an alley, they headed to the field behind it to find 3 little boys playing in the grass. "Hey, did I say you guys could play in my grass, huh?"
