"Lu!"

She scoffed hearing Dally's voice, he'd never been one to chase after a girl but this was different. This was Lucille. Friend to everyone in the gang, the person who had never failed at picking him up from the slammer, the girl that's always there for him.

Dally ran in front of her, gently grabbing ahold of her shoulders while she refused to look at him. "Leave me alone, Dal."

"Oh come on, pretty lady, you know I was just teasing her." She scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest, "That wasn't teasing, that was embarrassing. God, why do you always do this?!"

Dally feigned an offended look, "Do what? That's just who I am." Lucille stared at him, a little hurt and dismayed by his words, "You know.. I saw the good in you, Dal, I put you first and was good to you, you treat me like nothing but garbage."

"That's not true. Come on, Lu, you know I care about you. And plus, I don't have much to give you anyways." She rolled her eyes, snaking past him she continued to stomp away, "Lu! Talk to me here, I'm not sure what I did wrong. I don't need my girlfriend mad at me."

"Clean your ears, Dal, I said we're over!" Dally faltered slightly, his anger slightly rising at the mere thought, "Get your ass over here! You don't just get to dump me, alright, now you always say communication is key, come communicate!"

Lucille turned around, staring at the boy, "I hate when you do that! I hate it! Not because I get jealous but because I get embarrassed, everyone knows we're together and they think I'm just some dumb girl who lets her boyfriend cheat on her right in front of her face!"

"I'm not cheating! It's only teasing!" Dally retorted, playing with his lighter, he was nervous, he wasn't sure if he could sweet talk his way out of that one. "Look, Dal, I don't care about you not having much, I expect the bare minimum and you can't even give me that. I want more, Dal."

Dally stared at her for a moment, seeing the teary look in her eyes, it broke his heart but how was he supposed to say it. He couldn't say it. He didn't want her to know how much he cared.

"Fine then, go ahead and leave. See if I care." Lucille stared at him, her hope lost, she tried her best to keep it together. "Dal.. if I go now that's it.. I'm not coming back.. I'm not gonna keep hurting myself for you, I need you to need me back."

Her voice cracked, she didn't wanna go, she wanted Soda for be right, she wanted Dally to listen to her. Dally only watched her, trying to test if she was telling the truth, he wanted to fight. He wanted her to stay. But he couldn't say that.

"Dally.. please...." His eyes softened up slightly, he almost did it, he almost said it, "You said you cared about me, Dal.. show me, show me you care-."

"I shouldn't have to show you, you should just know!" He shouted at her in anger, she flinched slightly at the shout, he'd hardly ever raised his voice at her. He knew she didn't like it, he knew about the fights she and her mom had before her mom died from lung cancer. He knew and still did it.
