Olivia's povToday was the day.
It was mine and lessi's day. Our day.
The 23rd of may.
————————
Last night, after loads of kisses and hugs, we went our separate ways.
This morning I woke up to an overly excited Georgia bouncing on my bed.
"My best friend is getting married today!" She screams
"G, calm down." I laugh
"I can't. Your getting married to Alessia!"
"I know." I smile and sit up.
"I'm so happy for you, liv."
"Thanks, Georgia." I give her a hug
"Now, let's get you ready. You slept in this morning so you've got three hours."
————————
"Everything's all ready downstairs. It looks gorgeous, liv. Less is doing good too, I thought you'd want to know." My mum tells me as she walks into my room.
Georgia and Laura were my bridesmaids and they had already gotten into their dresses and now the hair and makeup artists that we had hired were doing their hair.
"Time for you to get into your dress, livvy." Laura tells me
I walk into my bathroom, where my dress was hanging on the door, and put it on.
Only G has seen me in my dress, as she was with me when I picked it, so it was a complete surprise for my mum and Laura."You Look so beautiful, darling." Mum kisses my head with tears in her eyes.
"Gorgeous, sis."
————————
"I think it's time, liv. It's five to one. Everyone's ready." G points out
We had planned it that lessi's bridesmaids, Ella and Lotte, were going to walk down the aisle first. After, Georgia and Laura were going, then less with mario, and me and my dad.
As soon as the clock turned one, the bridesmaids started walking down the aisle.
As I couldn't see less before the actual ceremony, me and my dad stayed in a separate room next to the walk way to the aisle so I couldn't see less.
Once we got the signal that less had walked down, me and my dad walked towards the aisle.
My eyes darted straight to lessi who was waiting patiently. We made eye contact and smiled at each other.
She looked stunning. Her wedding dress was similar to mine, it was perfect.
Walking down the aisle, with my dad next to me, towards my dream girl and my one true love, was a dream come true.As we finally reached the alter, my dad turned and gave me a gentle kiss on my cheek.
I walked towards less and connected our hands.
"You Look so Beautiful, Baby." I whisper
"Look at You, my love. You look stunning." She whispers back
"We are here to celebrate the marriage between Alessia Russo and Olivia James. Alessia, would you like to say your vows first?" The registrar says
"Olivia, I have loved you since we were fourteen, and I've never stopped since, and I never will. You are the sunshine in my life that makes it worth while living. Everyday, I wake up knowing that I'm the luckiest woman alive because I have you. I have experienced everything with you and I want to continue doing so. I want to create so many new memories with you to add to the collection we already have. As a Little Girl, I always thought football was my life, the best thing in my life but it's not, you are. You are the best thing to ever happen to me, and I am so grateful that we met, because you have made me who I am, and I don't know what I would do without you. From being fourteen and living on opposite sides of the country, to living in a tiny room in America, to playing at rival clubs, there hasn't been a second that I haven't thought about you. I love everything about you, livvy, your humour, your talent in football, your personality, I love them all. You made me fall in love with you when I was just a young girl, and you've done that everyday since. I can't wait to call you my wife and the mother of my children. I love you with everything I have, livvy, and I'll never stop loving you. I promise to be with you through every bad hair day, every sleepless night and every bump in our lives. I love you so much, Olivia." Less finishes her speech with tears in her eyes. About halfway through, I also breakdown in tears. It's a good job I've got waterproof makeup on. Less puts my ring on my finger.
"Olivia, your turn."
"Okay. Let me just gather myself together." I joke and everyone laughs, including less. "Lessi, where to begin?" I pause and chuckle. "3,388 days. That's the amount of days I've loved you. This time 3,388 days ago, I met you for the first time and I fell in love. Over the past nine years, you have made me feel like the luckiest woman alive. You've shown me what it's like to be loved, and for that I'm eternally grateful. I didn't think it was possible to love someone so much, but you've proved me wrong. And the thing is, you make me love you more and more each day. From watching you play your first match for the England's under 15s, to watching you play for your dream club, loving you was the best thing and I promise to do that until the end. Lessi, you are my true love, my one and only, I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle, I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard, when our love is simple, and when it is an effort, I will always love you. You are my love and my life, today and always." I finish and see less wiping her eyes, along with many of our guests. I grab the ring and place it on less' finger.
"Congratulations, I pronounce you wives." The registrar says and me and less smile, before leaning in and kissing each other gently. The guests all clap as we do.
Me and lessi walk hand in hand back down the aisle.
"I love you so much, lessi."
"I love you too, livvy. So much."
