Olivia's povAfter a few crazy weeks, and me not playing in the end, our doctor rang us and told us that we needed our first scan.
The scan wouldn't really show us much, apparently the baby will just look like a blob. But we were seeing our baby, our baby.
We had told Sarina the truth about me being pregnant and she recommended that I don't play either.
Less was happy that Sarina had also agreed on that, and I accepted their opinions. I knew all of this would happen, so I can't really complain.
Sarina still allowed me to sit on the subs bench.
The morning sickness hadn't gotten any better.
It was every single morning. Lessi was amazing though. Even if Id throw up at five o'clock, she'd get up with me and rub my back.
We were so happy. Knowing that I was pregnant, with our baby, made life so much more exciting and just enjoyable.
Less' hand would constantly sneak its way to my stomach and just lay there, her thumb gently stroking it. It was always happening now, even when she didn't know she was doing it. Like during the matches.
Playing against Norway, less wasn't in the starting eleven so she came and sat next to me.
It just started with her pulling me close into her side and wrapping her arm around my waist and then her hand slowly crept to my stomach.
She was so focused on the match though, that she had no idea what she was doing.
I had to quickly tell her and she took her hand away, resting it on my waist before kissing my head.
When I told lessi about the scan, she was so excited.
She couldn't wait to see the baby, and neither could I.

We had arrived at the clinic and they took my blood and other tests that they had to run.
We filled in a big form as well and they finally took us to the room and told me to play down on the bed.
"This is gonna be cold." The midwife warns and puts the gel on my lower stomach. "So, what you can see here, is your baby. Oh—" she begins but less cuts her off
"—What? Is everything okay?" Less asks, worried.
"No, everything is fine. Does twins run in the family?" She asks us and we both shake our head. "That's strange. People don't normally conceive twins with just one embryo. But congratulations, you're having twins."
"Twins, baby. We're having two babies." Less smiles and leans down to kiss my head.
"You can see them both there. It's still really early on, so you can't see much, but there is twin A, and there is twin B." She points to each one on the screen.
Me and lessi just stare, in awe, at the screen, trying to process that they are our babies.
We soon leave the clinic after she prints some photos off.
As soon as we get in the car, I turn to less and start crying.
"Why are you crying, baby?" Less asks, confused as she hugs me.
"It's just that, I don't know. I'm just so happy right now, lessi. I've got everything I've always wanted." I explain
"Oh, baby." Less whispers in my ear and kisses my head.
She starts driving, resting her hand on my thigh the whole way home.
I couldn't stop looking at the pictures that were printed for us.
I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that there were two babies inside of me, and the fact we were even having one baby, let alone two.

The following day, the BBC announced that I had won Women's footballer of the year and that my trophy was being delivered to the Manchester City training ground.
Tomorrow we were having our final team shoot in our kits there and so they wanted me to have my own separate shoot with the trophy.
I really wasn't expecting this and so it was such a shock when I found out.
