Justin's POV
I stared at Cheyanne curiously and relieved as she stood facing me, panting. As in a where did you just come from? type of thing. She looked out of the door window. Her hair was plastered to her back and her clothes were a sogging mess. It was raining so hard outside that her clothes were dripping.
"Good. She's not there," she muttered to herself.
"What's going on? Where's Golden Freddy? What happened to you?" I questioned. Cheyanne turned to face me again and looked down guiltily.
"There's something I need to tell you," she said.
"Okay..." I said. Looking at her dripping mess, Cheyanne said, "Let me go change first." She ran upstairs like she was in a hurry.
Something's wrong...
I went to sit down in the living room and wait for her anxiously, my mind reeling. I didn't want to get too lost in my head and begin guessing what could've happened. I just wanted her to tell me. I tapped my fingers on my knees while waiting and rocked back and forth. As if to comfort myself. But honestly, I think Cheyanne needed it more. It looks like she's been through one hell of a night.
Is it possible that Springtrap was back?
No, don't get lost in thoughts.
Cheyanne returned sooner than expected. She put on a fresh set of clothes and threw a hoodie over them. Her hands were tucked in the hoodie's big front pocket. Her hair was still wet, but she definitely tried her best to ring it out with a towel. She sat next to me, sighed, and smiled half-heartedly.
"Don't tell Ellie and Raymon what I'm about to tell you...yet," Cheyanne said.
"I won't," I promised. I felt myself growing more and more worried....and impatient. If she didn't want me to tell them...this meant bad news.
"Alright so...I don't know how to put this.." She hesitated.
"Just let it out," I encouraged.
She let it out, alright. "Springtrap's my father and-"
"What?!" I interrupted. "Pause. Pause right there. You're joking."
"That's what I said," Cheyanne chuckled, but that joyful expression lasted for a second and she became serious again. My mouth dropped into something that looked like a smile but I was just in utter shock. "Okay Cheyanne, you're gonna have to go real slow with me," I said. "I'm just..I already can't process this."
"But we don't have time!" Cheyanne exclaimed, irritated, but immediately calmed down. "Sorry...no, sorry. I understand." She took a deep breath. I was taken aback by her sudden outburst, but stayed quiet and listened.
"Justin, I am not joking. And I wish I was. I know it sounds crazy, but please believe me. I need you and Ellie and Raymon so much right now. Springtrap IS my father. Believe it or not my mother is an animatronic too! Her name is Mangle; she used to perform at the newer pizza place that opened up but then shut down last year," Cheyanne was spitting out slurred words at such a great speed that I could barely understand.
"Okay, Cheyanne, Cheyanne..." I grabbed her hand, which made her quiet down, although she was still panting. Her eyes were in a frantic state; she didn't know what to do. She was afraid I wouldn't believe her. "Do me a favor," I told her in a commanding but gentle and reassuring tone. "Take a couple of deep breaths with me. In and out. Close your eyes if you need to."
Cheyanne obeyed, she closed her eyes but I didn't. I did the breathing exercise with her and after a couple of times, she calmed down. She looked into my eyes again but this time the panic was gone; replaced with fear, worry, and exhaustion.
