Present Day
Cheyanne's POV
"After you touched me, Cheyanne, it was the first time I ever saw you in twelve years. You were thirteen then. And that man's wife did keep her promise. She killed the entire family the way she did it to me except you, Gizzmo, and May." Springtrap finished.
I...I didn't know how I felt, or to react. "That's the truth? That's what really happened?" I asked.
"Yeah," Springtrap replied. "That's everything."
I brought my hands to my temples, mind blown. I had a rough childhood, didn't I? How did I not remember any of it? Trauma? Springtrap stared at me, waiting for a reaction. I couldn't help but feel bad for him. He went through so much just to stay with his family! But in the end...that didn't even happen.
I forgot to mention that Golden Freddy and the others had finished the tour and came to listen to the story about halfway through. They were in the doorway, and he had emotion in his eyes as if remembering. He soon blinked it away and came up behind Springtrap.
"Hey," he said.
Springtrap was focused on me so he was startled and jumped. "Hey," he greeted back.
"Listen, it's almost five a.m. already, so we better get going," Golden Freddy said.
"Wait no! Don't go," Springtrap begged.
"He's right," I stepped in. "It has been a good time. But we do need to go."
"We'll see you again, promise," Golden Freddy added.
"Yeah, promise," I repeated. Nobody in the room said their goodbyes. Feeling awkward, Golden Freddy and I turned to leave, but before we could take a step Springtrap jumped in front of us and locked the door to the exit. I could see that Golden Freddy was upset but also angry. I stepped closer to him, suddenly afraid.
Without warning, Springtrap nodded at Mangle, Gizzmo, and May. I have a feeling that the three of them were supposed to grab onto Golden Freddy and keep him under control, but only Mangle obeyed. Golden Freddy wasn't expecting this at all, so he was taken by surprise as Mangle crept up behind him and grabbed him from behind. Golden Freddy struggled, but Mangle made him stop by holding her hook against his throat.
"Don't underestimate me," She growled. "I can rip your head off with one swipe. Although I wouldn't want to, you may leave me no choice."
She dragged him to the wall, where she forced him to sit down. She held onto his arm, making sure he didn't escape.
"May, Gizzmo," Springtrap said and gestured to the two of them. "Go help your aunt."
Helpless, Gizzmo and May obeyed, even though they obviously didn't want to do it. Gizzmo held on to Golden Freddy's other arm, not even attempting to get a good grip, while May sat next to her brother.
Terrified, I backed up into a corner as Springtrap advanced on me. "What are you doing?!" I exclaimed. "I thought we were family! You just made those poor kids turn against their father!"
"I swear, if you lay a hand on her I'll-" Golden Freddy was saying.
"I'm not going to do anything to her. Or you, for that matter," Springtrap interrupted. He was standing about halfway between me and Golden Freddy, alternating glances between us.
"Listen," he said. "You two are going to be staying here for a while..."
