Cheyanne's POV

"Cheyanne!!" Justin hollered from downstairs. I had been able to return the stolen cart with no problems. It felt weird to enter the parking lot with it, but no one batted an eye. I don't even know if anyone noticed. I was chilling in our room reading a book. Something about zombified animals causing chaos and some curse that they centered around. I was into the horror genre and this book itself. I was sitting up leaning against the bedrest, using a pillow for support. I had reading glasses on that I brought here when I first moved in, but the prescription was long overdue. Still better than with no glasses, however. Words were unreadable and blurry without my glasses and with them it was just slightly less blurry. It was technically readable, but I had to squint to be able to identify the words, making reading itself slow and annoying. But it was a hobby I didn't want to give up. Maybe I could find a way to get to the eye doctor. Or just get better glasses.

"What?" I yelled back at him, annoyed that my "me time" was disturbed and that I can't read. Stupid glasses.

"Come here for a sec'! Meeting time!" Justin replied. I groaned, marked my place with a bookmark, and hopped off the bed. I stretched my entire body since it's been hours since I'd last gotten up. I quickly brushed my messy hair to make my appearance more presentable. "Come on, Fang," I said to the dog, who was sleeping at the foot of the bed. Although it's still the same day that Ellie found him in the backyard, he's settled in already. I'm not sure if he knows his name yet, probably not, so I try to use it as often as possible. He'll learn eventually.

I forced myself down the stairs loudly and grumpily. Fang almost tripped me trying to run past. "What's up?" I expected Justin to only be there, but Ellie and Raymon were too. "Okay...yeah, what's going on?" I asked, confused.

"Have you noticed something?" Justin waved across the room.

"No...?" I responded, even more confused.

"That the animatronics aren't back yet!" Ellie told me, frustrated. "They were supposed to be an hour ago."

"What...?" I didn't even know they were gone. Nobody told me. "They were gone?"

Ellie got more relaxed, realizing. She added awkwardly, "Yeah. Uhm, sorry, we forgot to tell you. They went to visit Springtrap this morning and said they'd be back in a few hours. But it's past that."

"Why'd they all go?" I asked. That was odd, Golden Freddy was the only one who had a reason to go visit Springtrap.

"That's what I was asking! It's weird, isn't it?"

"Yeah."

"What's more important is that it's been an hour more than when they're supposed to return!" Justin interrupted. "Something is clearly wrong."

"Justin, it hasn't even been a day since we got home. They're fine. Probably just got caught up in something over there. Look, it's almost ten P.M. and I'm tired. I've barely gotten any sleep since yesterday. They'll be back either later tonight or in the morning." I yawned. "If you want, we'll go straight away in the morning if they ain't back yet."

Hasn't been a day since we got home... Why are the animatronics making such an early visit? Golden Freddy last saw Springtrap literally this morning. Was there an emergency? Were they able to contact each other somehow? Nothing was adding up now but I shrugged it off. Maybe Golden Freddy couldn't stay away from his kids for too long. Maybe he just wanted to make sure that they were still alright. And the others could've gone with him to keep him company, or maybe they were just bored. Either way, I didn't want to worry about it too much.

I turned away, frustrated and now angry, to head up the stairs and sleep. "Cheyanne, wait, you don't understa-" Justin tried to stop me.

"Don't understand what?!" I snapped. "There is nothing to worry about Justin. They can take care of themselves just fine."
