2 DAYS AFTER THE EVENTS OF LAST CHAPTER.

-
???'s pov.

It was a rather fine day, the bright sun was out along with it's blue skies, lighting up all of New Orleans, along with jazz music filling the air.

I was making way to the finest bar I know here in New Orleans, "Devilish Nights". as I had just finished my duty as a radiohost, airing "Never dressed without a smile."

I always loved the atmosphere New Orleans brought in, the sense of joy and relaxation in it's beauty. The beautiful sun rays shining down onto our roads, for all of us to see.

"Oh my! Is that Allen the radiohost?!!"
I hear a voice behind me whisper, turning myself a round to see 2 young woman, one wearing a long beige dress, and the other with a long sleeved shirt and short skirt. "Well yes, infact it is me! " I say, giving them a little bow and keeping the large smile I always wear.

Theyre faces light up, eagerly smiling.
"It is a pleasure to meet you! I'm Maria, this is Jazmine and me and her are huge fans of your radio show!!" The girl with the longer dress says.

Interesting.

"Pleasure to meet you too! Though, I am afraid I have matters to attend to, so for now, goodbye! But thank you for being a fan of my show! Highly appreciated." I say to them, before turning back around again and continuing to the bar.

I consider myself well known around New Orleans, often getting fans coming up to me to meet me.

I finnaly make it to the bar, a light up sign flashing in bright colors, making it stand out. I walk in, my eardrums filled with the beautiful sound of classic jazz music, going from ear to ear. The bar wasn't too full luckily, and most people were dancing or sitting around the bar, having chats with others.

I look for my usual seat at the bar, smiling as it's empty. I make my way over, humming along to the music. I sit down, waiting for a bartender to come.

I look to my side, seeing a face I've never seen before. It was a young man, blonde hair with dark brown roots. He was drinking a Bloody Mary, probably one of the most popular cocktails at the time.

He seemed like an interesting fellow , along with the fact I've never seen him around before.

"Uh, do ya need somethin'?"

The man turns, facing towards me. I get a tad bit surprised, but quickly reply.

"No, just couldn't help but notice I've never seen you around before! Are you perhaps new around here?" Perfect chance to strike up conversation.

"Uh- yeah. Just got ova here about 2 days ago." I take a closer look at his features, green eyes staring into mine. He had a bunch of freckles on his face, and was pretty pale. "Hm, interesting! The names Allen, Allen LeBlanc. And yours?"

"Anthony. Anthony Morreti."
I smile and take my hand out for him to shake , Anthony taking my hand and shaking it. "Nice to meet you, Anthony." He nods and continues to drink his Bloody Mary.

"Well then, what brings you here to the city of New Orleans?" I ask, I wanted to get to know the man, as he seemed interesting.

He seemed to pause at the question, looking to the side then back at me. "Ah, nothin just som' problems back where I used ta live. Didn't feel like livin there anymore. " I nod , I wonder why he seemed unsure and paused about the question.

A bartender comes over and asks me want I want, and I say the usual as I come here very often, so most bartenders know my go to.

"Well, you do seem like an interesting fellow, maybe we'll stay in contact?" Anthony looks at me after hearing my words, blank expression, unreadable. "Ya, sure. Uh, anyway, so what do ya do for a livin'?"

I smile, knowing the answer to the question. "Well, I myself have a love for radio hosting! I infact have my own radio show, "The Smiling Night." If I say so myself, I am quite popular around here!" My ego getting the best of me.

Anthony smiles, looking at me. "Wow really? That's cool, maybe I'll tune in sometime."

I nod, and check a clock on a wall.

7PM.

"Well then my good fellow, seems i have to go now. " I say, looking at Anthony.

"Alrighty, but your not even gonna drink anything?" He asks, raising an eyebrow slightly. I nod my head no, still smiling.

"No, there's always time for drinking on other days! But for now, goodbye! Have a good night." I say, before getting up and making my way out. "Bye!" Anthony yells after me, his voice fading away as I get further and further away.

The sky's slightly darkened more, lavender shades taking over the sky's original shades of blue.

I slightly blow my dark brown chocolate hair out my face, and fix my glasses. I start the walk home, one hand in pocket. I walked past the library, then stopping.

'No one would mind if I just took a quick look in there, right?'

I make my way in, small bell jingling as the scent of both new and old books fill my nostrils, letting me breathe in the delightful scent. It was a smell I adored, it was dear to me as I had grown up with books all my life.

I look around, hands softly brushing against books perfectly lined upon each other, some dust getting on my fingertips. I continue to search the library, it felt as if it had been a while since I've read a good or interesting book.

I turn my head to the write, as a book catches my eye.

"The Art Of Voodoo"

Hm.

What a book.

I make my way towards it, gently removing it from its place, brushing off some dust, as the cover of the book becomes more clear. It had many voodoo symbols, along with it's name once again on the cover.

My eyes look through it's cover, once I stumble upon the author name.

"Written By, Rosalie Fonta."

Hm.

I put the book back, making my way out the library and back to my original destination, home. My shoes softly tapping on the concrete sidewalks, the soft breeze blowing at my side. I look around the stores nearby, reading all the names. None of them caught my eye, as I've already eaten or shopped at most of them many times before.

I turn to the left, stepping into the small neighborhood I lived in, my house slowly coming into sight. I reach into my pocket and take my keys out, getting to the door and unlocking it.

Hm. No one home right now. I guess she's out for work today.

I put my keys on the kitchen counter, then leaning against it to give my body support while I take my shoes off.

I make my way to my room, which was wiped clean, not even the smallest speck of dust anywhere, everything in its place and organized. I smile softly at the sight, then close the door and get myself to my bed. I reach for the book on my nightstand, swiftly brushing through it's pages and finding the one I left off on the night before.

" The woman was terrified at the sight, her own husband dead, right in front of her very own eyes. She let out a blood curling scream so loud, the heavens could hear her pain. She cried and cried, the tears getting on the lifeless body of the man. Even if she knew it was bound to happen, she didn't want it to be a reality to experience."
