Anthony's POV
"Tonyyyy wake upppp"
I start to stir, my eyelids slowly flickering open, blonde curls coming into view.
"five more minutes Lorenzo..." I mumble , turning myself around to lay on my stomach. I hear a groan. "Tony, it's me! Cheryl! Not Lorenzo, dummy."
I sigh, getting up, rubbing my eyes open. I see Cheryl standing behind the sofa, mug in hand. She had her hair up in a bun, her freckles standing out more.
"Oh sorry, good mornin" I say, yawning while stretching. "Good morning! anyway, here take some tea, after you got home last night you practically ran to the bathroom and vomitted everywhere, the fuck did ya drink at that bar?" Cheryl asks, raising an eyebrow while reaching the mug out to me.
I felt as if I barely even remembered anything from last night, only thing I remembered was talking to that man.. what was his name? Ah, right. Allen. Allen LeBlanc. "Truth is...i only had like 2 drinks, spent most my time talking to this guy, his name was Allen. Said he was a radiohost. I guess I threw up due to not having alcohol in a while-?"
Cheryl's look softens, and nods. Then, it turns into a surprised one. I raise an eyebrow at her, as a way to say 'What?'
"Wait. You said Allen. The radiohost? "
"Yeahhhh...why?" Cheryl gasps really loud, hand over mouth. I take a sip of the tea, while waiting for a response.
"THATS ALLEN FUCKIN LEBLANC! THATS ONE OF LIKE THE BIGGEST RADIOHOSTS AROUND HERE! HOLY SHIT ANTHONY!"
I practically almost spit out the tea, eyes wide while looking at Cheryl. So I met a famous person? On my first day in New Orleans? Holy shit...
Cheryl calms down, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "Well anyway, wanna help me make some breakfast? I don't know what to make honestly so."
I laugh and agree, getting up from the couch and stretching. "Just give me a second, I'm gonna go fix myself up."
Cheryl's house wasn't that bad. You walked in, and on your right would be the living room, behind it the kitchen. The kitchen wasn't too small, it was decent size. Then there were stairs, leading up to the main bedroom, along with the guest one and 2 bathrooms. There was also a bathroom right next to the stairs, which is the one im going into right now.
I walk in, being greeted by my reflection in the mirror. My blonde hair was all over the place, brown roots clear as ever. I sigh. God, the atmosphere feels so different. .
And, not in a bad way.
I felt more, relaxed. The weight of my family and their, issues. Off my back.
It was a nice feeling, though it felt unreal. But, I guess thats what happens after being with those problems for what, my whole life?
I sigh, getting out the spare toothbrush I bought myself and starting to brush my teeth.
'Allen LeBlanc....'
I guess I could tune in sometime? If I'm sure Cheryl has a list with all radio shows in New Orleans and their stations.. It should be on there.
I finish brushing my teeth, and make my way outside into the kitchen.
Time skip,, About 12PM, Anthony & Cheryl just finished cleaning up after eating breakfast.
"Hey Anthony?"
I turn my head away from the news article I was reading, facing Cheryl, who was leaning over near the fridge, looking inside. "Yeah?"
"Mind going shoppin with me real quick? Gotta buy some groceries."
