The next day, eri was sitting with Kota as they continued to practice reading, Mandalay was out on patrol leaving tiger to watch the kids. "Hey kids, I made breakfast" tiger says, "hm? Okay, come on eri-" Kota starts and sees the look of fear on eri's face. "Eri...it's okay she's good" Kota says holding eri's hand. "Tiger is one of Mandalay's team mates...she's a hero" Kota says and eri eases up a little. "H-hero...." Eri says and Kota nods. "Mhm, you're safe eri...now come on let's go grab some food" Kota says, he tried to lead eri to the kitchen but the closer they got to tiger the more scared eri got. "NO! NO NO NO NO PLEASE DON'T!" eri screams suddenly having a full blown panic attack.
Kota quickly leads eri away from tiger and holds her. "Shhh....shhhh you're okay.... you're safe" Kota says, it took him a little bit to calm eri down and he guides her back to the table. "Okay...okay, just wait here I'll go grab us some food and then I'll be right back" Kota says. He quickly realized that just because eri seemed slightly at ease knowing tiger was a hero...she wasn't ready to be near her. He comes back with the food, "I'm sorry for trying to force you to do something you weren't ready for..." Kota says, he saw eri look at her food hesitant. Kota sighs and takes a bite of eri's food, "see? It's safe- don't give me that look" Kota says, eri was still iffy on Kota so even though he tried to help her eri seemed even more unsure.
Kota sighs, "eri....look, it's safe to eat I promise...." Kota says encouraging eri to eat. Eri was hesitant but Kota was eating his food without a care. This of course gave eri the courage to try the food, "woah...." Eri says shocked as she wants more of the food and Kota smiles. "See? I'm never gonna lie to you eri...i promise, if I think something is unsafe I'll let you know...if I don't do or say anything it's because I know it's safe" Kota smiles. "But, if you ever need reassurance just in case....just say 'check' and I'll tell you rather It's safe or not okay?" Kota says watching eri eat. "...." Eri thinks and sticks out her pinky, she reminds that Kota told her that a pinky promise was an unbreakable promise.
"Heh..." Kota interlocks pinkies with eri, "I promise" Kota says and eri seemed more at ease. While eri still has a long way to go in terms of recovery and trusting. Kota was definitely the one she trusted more and definitely felt more comfortable around him. Once eri was done eating she puts her head down, she was still getting used to eating so much food. "Mmm...I wish I had a bigger stomach..." Eri pouts and Kota chuckles. "Don't worry, you can have more when it's lunch time" Kota says.
He and eri chat for a while, and Kota actually got eri to open up more to him. "And then he would strap me down and take a really sharp scalpel and it hurt" eri says as she plays with some of the stuffies Kota gave her. Kota felt sick hearing everything eri went through, "well, you're safe now eri....I won't ever let anyone hurt you" Kota says playing with eri. Eventually Mandalay comes back, "Kota, we decided that for the rest of the year we're gonna home school you...next year you can either go back or continue homeschooling until eri's ready to attend school" Mandalay says.
"Okay" Kota nods, "also training camp is starting today so feel free to let eri watch" eri perks up, "training camp?" She asks and Kota nods. "It's when all the hero students come here to train and make their quirks stronger" Kota explains hugging eri. "We can go watch them train here and there, and whenever you wanna come back here just tell me...they aren't allowed in here and rarely are allowed in this house" Kota reassures eri. "Can...can we go say hi?" Eri asks and Kota nods, "mhm...let's get going they should be here soon" Kota says holding eri's hand.
Once they got to the area the students were dropped off eri was hiding behind kota. "OMG! Who are these two cutie-" a guy says coming closer to Kota and eri, "wait! I wouldn't-" mandalay tries to warn, but Eri yelps ducking behind Kota and Kota punches the guy in the dick. "Back the fuuu...." Kota starts looking back at eri, "leave us alone." Kota hisses and turns to eri, "if a guy tries to hurt you, touch you, or approach you without your permission punch them in the dick and come get me okay?" Kota says smiling. "M-mhm....can we go back now?" Eri asks and Kota nods, he and eri leave to go back to the house.
