Kibutsuji walked into the living room, fastening the last button of his vest, and looked at Y/n, a subtle smile playing on his lips.
Y/n stood up and walked over to him, smiling into his eyes.
And without a moment's hesitation, they simultaneously leaned in, enclosing each other in a kiss.
Muzan wrapped his arms around her waist, as he gazed into her eyes with his crimson red ones
"-Looks like your body has already adjusted to all the new blood you've received."
Y/n smiled
"-To blood, yes, to the sun—we'll know at dawn, won't we?"
He smiled back
"-That is true, Y/n." Muzan chuckled.
"-Although the flower tasted just as disgusting as it did then..." he looked into her eyes
"-I'm too happy and excited now that I could hardly taste it now."
"-I can say the same about your new blood in me." Y/n smiled at him
"-And I don't regret it one bit either."
"-You are a very special woman indeed, Y/n." Muzan smiled, caressing her hair.
"-You're a gem among all the Upper Moons."
Y/n felt her cheeks flush as she heard this.
Her eyes glistened in the moonlight, and Muzan smiled at her, caressing her y/c smooth cheek.
Muzan removed his hand and turned his gaze to the open shoji doors, gazing out at the skyline.
"-By the way, where are all of them? Dawn's in less than an hour." Y/n said, looking up to Kibutsuji.
But instead she heard a chuckle
"-They're not coming back until they find what they're looking for. So it looks like I'll have to summon them myself." said Muzan, and looked off to the side
"-Nakime!" he said out loud.
And Y/n abruptly saw a familiar black-haired girl appear not far from them with the sound of biwa.
She looked very calm, as always, and was waiting to carry out a new order, although now it seemed to Y/n that even her heart was beating a little faster.
"-Greetings, Muzan-sama." she said. And for a second, Y/n thought her voice sounded a little different than usual.
As if... nervous?
"-Greetings. Summon all the Upper Moons here now."
"-Yes, Muzan-sama." she said, and strummed her biwa.
Immediately, a loud thud was heard, and Y/n jerked.
Akaza,
Douma,
Gutaro and Daki,
and finally Kokushibo,
landed on the tatami floor, cowering on their knees in obvious haste.
Y/n looked at them all— they looked excited, exhausted, and even scared.
Each of them knew that they had disobeyed their lord's orders.
To find the Blue Spider Lily.
So, they did not know what they could expect from him.
Muzan quietly observed them, still not saying a word.
The spacious living room was so quiet that Y/n could hear the Upper ranks breathing nearby.
The moon entered the room, lying gracefully on their figures, whose eyes looked as if they were about to experience their worst nightmare.
"-But why are they so worried? Can't they see that I came back earlier than them, which means that the Blue Spider Lily has been found?"
Finally, Y/n heard a familiar deep voice nearby
"-I'm sorry, Muzan-sama." Kokushibo said quietly, not daring to raise his head from his bow.
And after a few seconds of silence, a reply came
"-For what?" said Muzan, his voice not sounding as stern as usual.
All the Upper Moons stiffened instantly.
Y/n listened, and heard their breathing and heartbeats quicken.
Quiet gulp were heard
"-None of us brought you the Blue Spider Lily, lord." Akaza spoke softly, his pink eyelashes fluttering as he looked down without raising his head.
But then, his eyes widened sharply as a chuckle was heard
"-Well, why didn't none of you. Y/n did it."
Immediately, everyone jerked their heads up.
They were looking at Y/n, who was standing next to Kibutsuji, excited at the sudden attention.
"-So, sama, you've already..." a familiar voice suddenly rang out across the room.
"-Yes, Douma. I've already consumed the Flower, and its power now flows in my veins." Muzan calmly replied.
"-And while you were all still wandering around Japan, searching and searching in vain, Y/n had already received my blood, making her the first demon after me to withstand the sun as well."
Quiet chuckling was heard along the room
"-But I feel quite contented now, so I will be that generous, and all of you by the end of the night will share that capability too."
Immediately, the faces of all the Upper Moons brightened slightly as they bowed low again, their heads touching the tatami floor
"-My most sincere thanks, Muzan-sama."
"-Thank you very much, sama."
"-Thank you, Kibutsuji-sama!"
"-Lots of thanks, Lord Muzan!"
"-Your mercy is infinite, my lord."
Y/n turned her gaze to Muzan, and saw the slightest smug grin appear on his face.
But he quickly almost completely washed it away in a second, noting her gaze.
"-Kokushibo, come here." Muzan said in a calm tone, looking up at Upper Moon One.
He immediately stood up, removing his hands from his lap, and without raising his head, walked over to Kibutsuji, bowing low.
"-Yes, Muzan-sama..."
As suddenly he gasped, dropping to his knees as a needle pierced his throat, pouring a huge amount of power into his body.
