Whatever it takes - Oliver Queen

HONOR THY FATHER

Gemini and Bruce walked into the Queen Mansion.

"This guy gets more air-time than the Kardashians, right?" Oliver said as the siblings entered the living room.

"Five years on an island and you still know who they are." Gemini joked.

"I've been catching up. It's nice to see how much our culture has improved while I was away." Oliver said sarcastically. "I thought we were meeting later." He told them.

"Yeah, but we needed to talk to the four you." Bruce explained and Gemi grinned.

"We are buying a house here in Starling." She said.

"You're moving here!" Thea exclaimed excitedly.

The Wayne siblings smiled and looked each other before looking at the Queens. "Kind off." Bruce said.

"What do you mean 'kind off'" Oliver asked.

"Well, Bruce is going back to Gotham but he'll visit when he can." Gemini started.

"But, you're staying?" Oliver smiled.

"I am. I'll be opening a branch of Wayne Enterprises, so I'll stay to oversee it. I'll have to go back to see the company and of course visit my big-bro." She finished nudging her brother.

"When are you leaving?" Moira asked Bruce.

"After Oliver is legally brought to life."

"Speaking off. Do you have any questions about today, Oliver? It's a simple proof-of-life declaration." Walter asked him. "Just read out a brief, prepared statement to the judge, and then your death-in-absentia judgment will be voided."

"It's fine, Walter, I've been in a courtroom before."

In that moment Tommy entered the room. "Four times by my estimate. You know, there was the DUI, the assault on that paparazzi douchebag, stealing that taxi, which was just awesome, by the way, and who could forget peeing on the cop?" He said.

"I wish everyone would." Moira muttered.

"I'd hang, but we're headed to court." Oliver told Tommy.

"I know, that's why I'm here. My best friend is getting legally resurrected, I wouldn't miss this for the world."

We got to the courthouse, which was filled by screaming paparazzi, and Oliver started recounting the events that led to him marooning on Lian Yu. "There was a storm. The boat went down. I was the only survivor." He started. "My father didn't make it." Then he paused. "I almost died, I... I thought that I had, because I spent so many days on that life raft before I saw the island." He paused again. "And in those five years, it was that one thought that kept me going."  He finished. The Wayne siblings shared a look, they knew that island had changed him, but to what extent?

"Now, onto the offices. Everyone is waiting to meet you there." Moira told Oliver.

"Uh, Mom, that was, uh...a little bit heavier than I was expecting it to be. Can we do that tomorrow? Please?"

"Of course."

"We gotta go to the airport, but... um Moira I was hoping I could stay at your house, just until mine is ready." Gemini told them.

"Yeah, of course, you can stay as long as you want, you are family after all." She said before walking away with Walter.

"Last week, you couldn't wait to get to the company." Tommy inquired.

"Tommy, I'd just spent five years away from civilization. I wasn't exactly thinking straight." Oliver responded.
