The wrestling world was shocked to hear that the 9 year old Son of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, Michael, is going to have his first wrestling match against the Queen of Extreme and his go-to harassment victim, Lita, after the match between Rated RKO and D-Generation X on Cyber Sunday.
It would be the first time in WWE History to have a young child be facing an adult in One on One action. Michael may have done moves against the likes of Vince, his uncle Shane, Edge, Lita, Randy, the Spirit Squad, and Melina, but this is a different situation.
This a full on match, and most likely have outside interference. And also, while Michael is considering strong and less tolerant to pain as he did practiced bumps before for his age, he still a kid so he'll most likely gonna bruise easily if given a hard shot.
Also, this would be a situation for the adults, too. They have to make sure Michael doesn't get himself injured or hurt, or it would cause backlash for letting him get serious hurt. This goes for Lita too, as she has already faced backlash after having an affair with Edge being Matt Hardy's back, so hurting a kid would seriously destroy her career.
So, this is a tough situation and one that would be remembered for either the right or wrong reasons.
On RAW the next week, Michael didn't appear as Triple H and Shawn Michaels have him be off the show, as he was still processing the shocking and devastating news Vince McMahon said last week.
However, many other superstars shared their opinions, on the matter, and both Heel or Face are not pleased to know that a young child is facing an adult at Cyber Sunday.
John Cena: I feel disgusted and enraged that Vince McMahon would put his own grandson, who hasn't even turned 10 in a match, just to set a lesson. I know Michael and I care about him, and you have to be very vile for him to not like you. That's is Vince McMahon for ya. A man so vile his own children don't want to be near him, regardless of his manipulative behavior. Michael's stronger than his mom and Uncle, and Vince knows that and is afraid of that. And I know Michael is gonna show him that he's not just as strong mentally at Cyber Sunday.
Batista: To think him fighting God wasn't crazy enough, he has to put his grandkid in a match with a woman who's known for being extreme in the ring. I'm sick that Vince would do this to his family. He put himself in matches against his son and daughter, torments his wife on multiple occasions, and now puts his grandson in harms way. However, even after all this, he still underestimates Michael. I known him since he was 5 and let me tell ya, he stronger than Vince could ever imagine. One day, Michael would be the undoing of Vince McMahon.
Tommy Dreamer: A kid should only go to the ring when training and be there for their family to celebrate their victory, not forced into a match against an adult. We push boundaries in ECW, but never put a child in harms way. That is what Vince McMahon has done to Michael, his grandson, his 9 year old, grandkid, just because he doesn't listen to him. And I doubt after this, he still would never listen.
Victoria: I have my problem with the kid, but I would never thought of going one on one with him in a match, going through minutes of numerous bumps and shots, and still try to stay awake and not fall unconscious. So, Vince putting Michael in a match is a recipe for disaster and that kid getting seriously hurt. I pray that Lita would not go through her resentment towards him affect her judgement. Regardless, he's a kid and I would slit my wrists if I hurt him immensely.
Mickie James: Lita is going to have to make sure that Michael is not hurt. Because, we will mess her up if she does. I don't care if they had history, it should never get in between the ropes, especially with a kid that's young enough to be our brother or our son. Plus, Mike's more stronger than his grandfather thinks he is and he's gonna show that at Cyber Sunday.
