Chapter 23

Yujin POV
Before I knew it, I was standing outside Minju's door as her mother started telling me what was going on.
"She won't eat, can barely sleep and is basically drowning in her own guilt. I know what she did was wrong and I am not defending her from her actions either but I cannot see her like this, I know this is alot to ask for but please help me out." She blurted out, as if she was in a panic.
I thought about it for a while but eventually realised I had to make things right.
"Don't worry auntie, I promise you I will do my best to help her." I smiled.
"Thank you so much." She sobbed, pulling me into a bear hug.

Jieun POV
I waited nervously downstairs.
After seeing the state of Minju's mother, I couldn't help but worry.
Just then, she came down and offered me a glass of water.
She quickly placed the glass on the table infront of me before sitting by my side and letting out a deep sigh.
"So aunty, how have things been?" I asked nervously.
"Not too good, Minju's health is declining and she's drowning in her own guilt, there was nothing else I felt I could do so I came to you guys for help." She smiled, as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulder.

Yujin POV
I took a deep breath before carefully opening the door only to reveal Minju curled up oh her bed.
She looked up, her tear stained face and swollen eyes making an appearance.
"Minju oh my gosh..." I let out before sitting at the corner of her bed.
"Why are you doing this to yourself..." I asked softly, brushing her hair behind her ear.
With that, she burst into tears and pulled me into a hug.
"It's okay..." I said reassuringly, patting her back as she cried on my shoulder.
"I'm sorry..." She whispered, pulling away.
"I know, but you can't keep going on like this. What you did was wrong but everyone makes mistakes right? Don't drown yourself in your own guilt." I smiled.
She nodded, wiping away her own tears.

It took alot of convincing but eventually it worked.
She held my hand as we made our way down the stairs.
The moment we reached the end, Jieun and Minju's mother both turned their heads before her mother began sobbing and ran to hug Minju.
"Good job Yujin." Jieun mouthed as she stood beside Minju's mother.
After a while, Minju's mother turned to face me before pulling me into another hug.
"Thank you so much..." She laughed, stroking my hair.
Reminding me of how my grandmother did the same whenever I felt upset.
I smiled as she pulled away before both Jieun and I left.

"So how was it?"
"Yeah tell us!!"
"What happened"
"Was it bad?"
"No it can't be..."
"Fill us in!"
"Yeah!!"
Aureum and Yannie pestered us.
"Sit down and I'll tell you guys everything." Jieun instructed.
Quickly, the both of them scrambled to their seats as I set my bag down on the couch.
I went ahead and sat at the table as Jieun began filling the two in on what had happened.
"No way... I never expected her to do that..." Yannie huffed.
"I mean we knew it was bad but we never saw this coming..." Aureum laughed.

"Hey mum!" I laughed.
"Hey sweetie, how's everything?"
"It's okay... promotions did great!" I smiled.
"That's wonderful!"
"Yep... I was thinking of coming over tomorrow, I haven't seen you in a while." I sighed, picking st my nails.
"Of course! But your sister won't be home during dinner though..."
"Why not?" I asked.
"She's busy looking for a new house with her fiancé before he leaves for tour..."
"But what about the moving?" I huffed.
"Their just going to put a deposit on the house, they'll move when he comes back"
"Ahh I see..."
"Oh why don't you bring that boyfriend of yours? I'd love to meet him."
"I'll ask him and let you know..."
"Awesome! I'll see you tomorrow then, I'll cook up a feast! Also tell me what your boyfriend likes..."
"He loves curry!" I exclaimed.
"Ahh great! Be sure to come okay?"
"Of course I will!" I said excitedly.
And with that I ended the call.

I smiled before letting my mother know that Jungwon would be coming around as well.

I went to the company after seeing the message from my manager.
pls come collect a camera to film a vlog
"Manager nim!" I laughed, entering Mrs Nam's office.
"Yujin your here so early?" She laughed, opening a drawer and taking out the camera.
"Yep! I'm visiting my mum today." I smiled, taking the camera from her.
"Ohh great!" She laughed, rummaging through the drawer again before pulling out the charger.
"I'm not sure if it's fully charged so you might need this." She smiled, handing me the charger.
"Thanks!" I smiled, taking it from her and putting it in my bag.
"Try not to show other's faces but if any case it happens, we'll be sure to blur it out and we'll also be sure to cut parts out if it gets too personal." She smiled.
"Sounds good!" I smiled.
"That's all for now, just return the camera tomorrow." She instructed, turning back to her laptop.
"Sure." I replied before bowing and leaving.
And with that I headed to enhypen's dorm to pick Jungwon up.
I rang the doorbell and waited with the camera in my hand, filming.
"I just arrived, let's see who opens the door for me!" I giggled, talking to the camera.
The door opened to reveal Heeseung.
"Oh hey what's up!" He laughed.
"I'm here for Jungwon." I smiled.
"Ohh ok he's busy getting ready right now though, do you wanna come in?" He asked, moving to the side.
"Sure!" I smiled, removing my shoes before going in.
"What's the occasion?" He asked, pouring me a glass of water.
"Mum's gonna meet him officially today." I smiled, fixing my hair using the camera's reflection.
"Ooh cool!" He laughed, handing me the water before going off to let Jungwon know I was here.

"Are you sure jeans are okay?" He asked Heeseung who was laughing.
"Don't laugh I'm serious!" He huffed.
Curious, I went over to see Jungwon in a collared shirt with jeans.
"Oh..." I let out.
"What!" He panicked.
Heeseung and I laughed as Jungwon fumbled around with his shirt.
"Be yourself bro, that's how I got a green card." Heeseung laughed.
Jungwon huffed before going back to his room to pick out another outfit.
A few minutes later, he walks out once again with another set of clothes.
"Perfect!" I exclaimed before going to grab my bag and camera.
"Your vlogging?" Jungwon asks as we put on our shoes.
"Yep." I smiled as we left the dorm.

"Hey mum!" I exclaimed, rushing to her as Jungwon stayed behind.
"Hey sweetie!" She smiled, pulling me into a hug.
She soon pulled away before noticing Jungwon in the doorway.
"Hey! Come on in! Make yourself at home." She laughed, ushering Jungwon in.
He smiled before entering and greeting my mother.
Before I knew it, I was making dumplings while my mum showed Jungwon all my childhood photos.
"Aish mum! I look so ugly there it's so embarrassing!" I whined, picking up another dumpling wrapper.
"No you look so cute here!" She laughed before showing another picture.
"Mum no!" I huffed, covering the picture.
"Aigoo just make your dumplings!" She huffed as Jungwon giggled.
"I help make the dumplings auntie, I'll be sure to look at the pictures later." Jungwon smiled as he washed his hands.
"Of course, then I'll start the curry." My mum laughed, closing the book of photos and getting out a pot.
Jungwon smiled as he grabbed a dumpling wrapper.
"Hehe you looked so cute in your pictures." He whispered teasingly.
"Stop... I looked so funny don't lie." I laughed.
"A little." He smiled, filling the wrapper with meat.
I huffed as I placed a dumpling down on the tray.
"Ay, don't be like that..." He whined, wrapping up a dumpling.
Failing to get a response, he quickly planted a kiss on my cheek.
I blushed and turned away before wrapping another dumpling.

"Hey mum!" Yubin smiled as she reached the bottom of the stairs.
She turned and reached the dining room where we were having lunch.
"Perfect timing! Do you want to join us?" Mum asked, standing up.
"I think I'm okay, Heeseung and I are heading out for lunch." She smiled.
"Ask him to join us! I we won't be able to see him for a while after right?" Mum smiled, looking at Jungwon.
"I'll ask." Yubin smiled before shooting a text to Heeseung.
She then placed her phone beside me before back hugging me.
"I miss you so much!" She laughed, practically choking me.
"I just saw you yesterday, let go!" I huffed, tapping her arm.
"No I don't want to." She laughed, placing her head on top of mine before swaying me side to side.
Just then, her phone screen lit up and she quickly let go of me to see who it was.
"Mum! Heeseung said he'll be over in 5 minutes for lunch." She shouted as mum was in the kitchen stirring up the soup.
"Sure!" She replied before scooping up 2 bowls of rice.

"Bye!" I waved as Jungwon and I stepped out of the house.
"Bye! come visit soon okay?" Mum laughed.
"We will!" I smiled.
"How was it?" I asked, shutting the door.
"Pretty good, I think she likes me." Jungwon laughed.
"That's good." I smiled as he took my hand.
"Shall we go?" He smiled.
"Of course." I laughed as we made our way back hand in hand.
