Chapter 01

Yujin POV
"Bye mum!" I shouted and ran out of the house before stuffing a slice of bread into my mouth.
I pulled out my hat from my bag and wore it along with my mask hanging on my chin and my airpods comfortably in my ears as I gobbled down the thin slice of bread.
I made my way to the bus stop and pulled up my mask, just in time for the bus to arrive.
I was sitting on the bus and decided to post some of the pictures that I had took earlier on instagram.
"Gotta feed my babies!" I thought and tapped on the pictures I was going to post.
I soon arrived at HYBE and went through the company doors.
I stood outside the elevator and quickly pressed the buttons, wanting to be on time for practice.
The lift doors opened and I quickly dashed in, not noticing the other person in the lift.
"What floor?" The person asked.
I jumped in shock.
"Goodness, you scared me!" I blurted out before turning to the person, only to reveal my sunbaenim, Jungwon.
I quickly did my 90 degree bow before pressing the lift buttons.
"You seem to be in a hurry, late for practice?" He asked.
"I will be if this lift moves any slower..." I sighed.
"I guess your still getting used to the schedules?" He said.
I nodded in response just as the lift doors opened.
"I will talk to you soon, thank you sunbae!" I said, bowing to him before dashing to the main dance studio.
The moment I entered, my members along with our dance instructor started clapping.
"Your on time Ms. Yujin!" Our leader,Minju, stated.
The other 3 members, Yannie, Aureum and Jieun continued clapping and shaking their head.
Before I forget, let me introduce to you my members!
First, we have our leader and main rapper,Minju, 4th oldest and is like my older sister.
Next is Yannie, the oldest and our main dancer and sub-vocalist.
Third is Jieun, the second oldest, our center and lead rapper.
Then, it's Aureum, third oldest, sub rapper and visual.
Lastly, me! The main vocalist and maknae.
We are the members of HYBE's new rookie group, Universe! And we are preparing for our 1st comeback!
"Alright girls, settle down, let's get to practice." our dance instructor, Ms. Lee said as she clapped to get our attention.
We all groaned and started practicing.

By the time we were done with practice, we were all on the floor, exhausted and out of breath.
Just then, the door swung open and we all looked up to see who it was.
"Sunbae..." We all said in unison as we got up to greet Enhypen.
"Oh so sorry to interrupt you guys, we thought the studio was empty." Sunghoon said.
"Oh it's fine! We were about to get going anyways!" Yannie said and we quickly got up to pack.
They came into the room and settled down just as we were about to leave.
"Bye guys!" Sunoo shouted as we left.

Jungwon POV
"Hyung!" Niki blurted out and we all turned to his direction.
"Apparently their maknae has goddess vocals!" He continued.
"Really?" Heeseung asked.
"Mhm!" Jay responded.
Curious, I googled about their group, wondering who this maknae with goddess vocals was.
"Who is the maknae?" I asked.
"I think it was Yujin? We don't really see the girls often because their mostly out for shoots lately." Niki said.
I scrolled and eventually found Yujin.
"Ahh! This was the girl I met in the lift earlier!" I thought and put my phone away.

Yujin POV
I was eating by myself in the almost fully packed canteen as my unnies all decided to stay behind to train more on their vocals.
After all, I do have vocals of a goddess as they used to say in school.
I had my headphones on and was watching a video when I head a faint calling of my name.
I turned around and saw 7 pairs of shoes.
I tilted my head up to see the members of Enhypen once again.
I immediately stood up and did another 90 degree bow and took off my headphones.
"Do you mind if we sit here? The other benches are full." Sunoo asked.
I quickly swallowed my food.
"Of course! Please sit!" I gestured toward the empty chairs beside me.
To be respectful, I took off my headphones and put my phone away as the members started sitting down one by one.
As I had only become a trainee after their debut, things are more awkward as we don't know anything about each other.
Jungwon was now seated beside me and Jake across me.
In order to run away from the situation, I started to gobble down my food as quickly as possible, even if it means stuffing my mouth with spoons of rice and having to aggressively chew non-stop.
I was in the middle of eating when Sunghoon blurted out.
"Your Yujin right?"
I quickly nodded.
"Maknae with goddess vocals?" Sunoo added.
I chocked upon hearing that.
"What the hell?"Was the only thing that went through my head.
I coughed and patted my chest when a opened bottle of water appeared infront of me.
"Here, I haven't drank from it yet. Eat slowly." Jungwon said.
I immediately turned to thank him before taking the much needed bottle of water and gulped it down.
"Thanks again sunbae!" I exclaimed and handed him my unopened water bottle.
"No problem." He said and took the water bottle from me.
The whole table went silent and the only thing that could be heard was the chatting of the staff who were seated in the canteen.
"Uhm so..." Jake started.
Just then, my unnies arrived.
"YUJINNIE! MY BABY!"Yannie shouted as she shuffled towards me.
"Just in time." I thought and smiled, hoping to be saved from this misery.
Yannie quickly greeted Enhypen and then proceeded to rest her arms on my shoulder as she stood behind me.
"Are you done eating?" She asked.
"I'm almost done!"I replied and took a bite of my veggies.
"Have you eaten yet?" I asked.
She shook her head.
"I got Aureum to take my food for me." She smiled.
"You guys should join us!" Sunoo exclaimed.
"There is only 10 chairs in one table, sunbae, we would need 2 more chairs to eat with you guys." Minju smiled as she walked towards the table.
"We can make space!" Jay proposed.
"It might be a little bit squeezed up though..." Aureum added as she handed a tray to Yannie.
"We will just sit at the table behind, enjoy your meal!" Jieun said and placed her tray down on the next table.
I was about to grab my tray and sit with my members when Jieun whispered into my ear.
"You stay with them missy, it's rude if you leave the table half way."
I sighed and continued eating.
The rest of the time was really awkward as we had nothing to talk about, forcing all of us to eat in silence.
Once I was done eating, I took my stuff along with my tray and ran off to continue practicing.

I was practising my group's choreo for the new comeback but kept getting the last few steps wrong.
I laid on the ground in defeat and whined.
"I wish I was like Yannie! Ugh!" I whined.
Although I had the vocals of a goddess, my dancing skills was rather questionable.
I heard a soft knock on the door and got up to get it.
When I opened the door, I was startled to see Jungwon fall to the ground.
"Sunbae!"I shouted.

Jungwon POV
I heard whining coming from the dance studio and I went to check who it was.
I quickly knocked on the door and leaned on it, waiting for a 'come in!'.
Instead, I was welcomed with my face to the floor.

I was sitting on the couch as Yujin applied some cream on my palm.
"I'm so sorry sunbae, I did not know you were leaning on the door..." She sighed.
"How can I make up for it?"She asked.
I looked at her, stunned.
"But it's not your fault? Your even putting medication for me?" I said.
"Still, I feel guilt about it. I should at least buy you a coffee or something?" She insisted.
"It's really okay, i'm fine!" I insisted.
She sighed and continued putting on some medication.
"How old are you?" I suddenly blurted out.
She looked up from my hand and stared at me.
"I'm sorry I'm just really curious."
"I am 17 years old! An '05 liner!" She smiled.
I nodded in response.

Yujin POV
I slumped onto my bed and sighed.
"That was a much needed shower..." I thought.
"Yujinnie!" Minju shouted.
"Mmh!" I exclaimed in response and got out of bed.
The moment I opened the door, I was greeted with a strong smell of tteokbokki, my favourite!
"UNNIE!" I squealed, sounding demonic and rushed towards her.
"I bought this on my way back!" She exclaimed.
"Where are the others?" I asked.
"Their on their way back! They wanted to stop by the gym for a bit." She said and started to take the tteobokki out of the plastic bag.
"Pleh, gym sucks." I let out.
I took out 2 glasses and scooped some ice into them and sat down to eat my delicious meal.
"Thanks for the food unnie!" I squealed as she sat down.
"No problem, eat up!" She giggled.
