Epilogue

4 years later
Jungwon POV.
Yubin and I arrived at the same spot where I had given her our promise rings.
Same date, same time, same food, same clothes, same setup.
Just like it was 6 years ago.
Alot has happened since then and we really came a long way.
I was now 25 and Yujin was now 24.
She was now an aunt to 2 kids and Heeseung loves bringing them over to the company.
"Heebin, Heedeung, wanna watch papa dance?" Was one of his favourite things to say.
We recently found out that Jieun was in a relationship with Sunghoon and that Minju has a tiny crush on a special someone.
Let's just say his name starts with J and his name has 4 letters for now.
Yujin and I moved out of our dorms and bought an apartment together.
Both of our groups were also still active and Yujin's mum recently found love again.

I watched as Yujin stared into the sunset as I wrapped my arms around her waist.
"It's so nostalgic here." She laughed, looking at her promise ring.
"Mhm." I smiled.
"We should come here every year from now, until we grow old." She smiled.
"We should." I laughed, "Afterall it's so beautiful here." I continued as she rested her head on my shoulder.
"Hey love?" I asked, letting go of her as she turned to face me.
"What is it?" She asked as I nervously rummaged in my pocket.
She waited with a blank face, not a single thought behind her eyes.
I took out the box and got down on one knee.
"Will you marry me?" I asked, looking at her now shocked face.
"You're shitting me right now." She let out, covering her mouth.
"I'm not." I laughed.
"No way." She let out again.
We stayed silent for a while before she burst into tears.
I quickly got up and wiped her tears away.
"Don't cry..." I laughed as she sniffled.
We stayed silent once more until I heard 3 words that would change my life forever.
"I'll marry you." She let out and I quickly pulled her into a hug.
I pulled away before sliding the ring onto her finger.
She looked at it in awe before pulling me into for a kiss.
"Gosh Yang Jungwon." She laughed.
"Gosh Lee Yujin or should I say soon to be Yang Yujin?" I laughed.
"Stop it." She giggled before pushing me gently.

"Hello, this is Source music."
"Hello this is BELIFT LAB." We read out in unison.
"We are glad to announce the engagement of Yang Jungwon of ENHYPEN and Lee Yujin of UNIVERSE. We extend our congratulations to them and will appreciate your biggest support for the couple as they journey onto the next step of life together. The couple has been together for 6 years, since the summer of 2023. The couple also only wishes for the support of ENGENE and UNI through this journey and they hope that they can truly trust that ENGENE and UNI can show them the love and support as a newly engaged couple. Both groups will continue their activities as per scheduled and we once again extend our congratulations. Thank you." I read out.
By the end of it, we were both left smiling.
"Wahh... It feels so nice to be in a open relationship." Yujin laughed.
"I agree..." I nodded.
We remained silent for a while as we stared at eachother.
"Shall we go eat?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm hungry." Yujin laughed.
With that, we both stood up and headed off to the canteen hand in hand.

Yujin POV
Jungwon and I were watching videos together as we ate when we heard oos and aas coming from behind us.
We turned to see the rest of enhypen standing behind us.
"You can stop with your pda now." Jay huffed as they all sat down.
"Oh where's Heedeung and Heebin?" I asked, placing a piece of meat on Jungwon's tray as Heeseung sat across me.
"Mum wanted to see the kids." He laughed.
"Ahh I see." I laughed.
"Guys!" Jieun exclaimed as she sat beside Sunghoon and the rest of the group followed.
"Hey!" I laughed.
With that, we all continued talking and eating like old times.

"Hey grandma!" I smiled, turning to look at Jungwon.
"Remember when I told you I broke up with my boyfriend?" I asked.
"Well we're getting married soon! Isn't it cool?" I laughed.
"I'd thought it would be nice for him to meet you." I smiled, holding Jungwon's hand.
He bowed and smiled.
"I know you would be dying to see our wedding if you were still around." I paused.
"Maybe you still can from where you are though, I'm not sure how heaven works." I smiled, wiping away some of my tears.
"I'll wait for you in the car." Jungwon whispered as I nodded.
I waited until he left before continuing.
"I know I don't say this much but love you grandma. I always will." I stopped and sat down.
"I miss you tons. Like alot. No words can describe how much I miss you." I sobbed.

With that, I headed into the car as Jungwon drove us back home.

Jungwon POV
"Wait I think I should cut off the roots." I huffed.
"Should I?" I asked, looking at the comments.
"Cut the roots and replant the roots? What does that mean?" I laughed.
I hesitated a little before cutting Injang's roots off.
Just then, I heard the sound of the keypad beeping and knew Yujin was home.
I heard the sounds of plastic bags rustling as I gathered the roots and put them aside.
A while later, Yujin came in the room.
"Hey love, I got you a new pot for Injang since you said you wanted to replant him." She said before looking up, the brand new pot in her hand.
I smiled as she inched closer, a look of shock forming on her face.
"Why what's wrong?" I asked.
"Where's the roots..." She asked before I pointed at the small pile of roots at the end of the table.
"Why would you cut the roots!" She huffed.
"Someone told me to cut the roots then plant it." I smiled.
"Yeah but you cut it with the base love..." She huffed.
