Arabella POV

We stop at a gas station around 3 a.m. Anna is in the back sleep and Devin is at the car filling it up with gas. I stop to get some snacks and things like that while we're on the road.

Once the car is all filled up, we continue on the semi empty highway. "So, um, are you over Chris? Or do you-"

"Yes. I am," No, I'm not. I just didn't want to admit to that I am. "Is it even possible to love someone you cheated on though?,"

"I don't know love," he intertwines his hands with mine and kisses it. "But I do know that I love you."

"Do you really Devin?"

"I do,"

We talk for a little bit more until the sun starts to rise.

Chris POV

"Son, what seems to be the problem? I don't understand what happened to the Chris we used to know. You don't interact with anyone, let alone leave your room."

"Just don't worry about it. It's my problem, let me fix it on my own. I'll be fine." He sighs, closing my bedroom door behind him. I'm pretty sure its time for me to give her a call. And that time will be now. I dial her number and after a few rings, I hang up knowing that she won't be answering.

I decide not to call her back nor leave a message. If she wants to talk, she'll call. I can't let Devin have her, I won't let it happen.

Instead of calling her so much, I'll just go to her place. Fuck Devin being there. He can watch for all I care.

I get in my car and drive mildly fast to her place. The day is slowly turning to night and I suddenly feel my eyes become heavy. I haven't gotten any descent sleep in a while. I try to shake myself awake but the exhaustion I'm feeling won't budge.

I get to her place in one piece and knock on the door. No answer. I guess her parents around home and neither is she. Where would she be? I try calling her again, no answer. What's going on with her today? I'm guessing she doesn't want to talk.

Then I just realized Devin isn't there either. Where is everyone? I feel my phone vibrate in my hands and I immediately answer hoping it was Bella that returned my call.

"Hello," I rush.

"Hey, Chris. I see you called..."

"Yeah, um, where are you? I was hoping you and I could talk one-on-one. If that's okay with you. I mean, I'll understand if you don't want-"

"No, no. I'm fine with it. I'm not in town at the moment. I'll be back in a few days and we'll talk then. Will that be okay?"

I nod forgetting she'd see me. "Yeah, that's cool. I'm actually sitting in my car in front of your house. I thought you would be home,"

I could hear her laugh over the phone which makes me smile. "Really?"

"Yeah. You weren't answering any of my phone calls and I wanted to see if everything was okay because you always answer your phone."

"I can't talk and drive. And I don't like having my phone on speaker while driving. My friend Anna is driving now. It's actually my turn now so I'll see you soon,"

"Okay, see you soon. Drive safe!"

"Speak for yourself," she laughs. "Bye,"

"Bye,"

Well, now that's over and done with...I take a sigh of relief and head back home and head to bed.

(A/N: Sorry for the shortness of this chapter. I'm kind of in a rush. I'm heading down to my hometown in Texas and I'll probably won't be able to post anymore in like 2 weeks. Hopefully I can though, we'll see!)
