Arabella POV
"Devin! Please stop acting like this!" I shout.
"No! If I can't have you then what's the point of living. I don't want a life without you being mine. I can't bare to watch Chris love you when you know damn fucking well I can be a better lover."
He was going to commit suicide by jumping off the ledge close behind him, he threatened that he'd jump if I got any closer. "Dev I just don't see you in that way. You need to accept that. I care about you more than anything."
"Except Chris right."
I keep quiet.
"See you in the next life."
He jumps. And I let him. I just couldn't catch him in time.
"Dev-"
"Ahhhh!" I scream waking myself up. "Fuck."
Chris POV
"Yeah I'll take a few roses in there as well."
I was getting her a dozen daisys and a few roses. There was no special occasion, I just wanted to make her smile. I remember her telling me a while back that a her favorite flower was a daisy. She wasn't home yet, she had a couple hours of swim left before she would be.
I decided that it would be a good idea to get her favorites. Just to show her that she was on my mind.
Arabella POV
"Dad!" I whine. "That's not fair. You're old, and experienced. I don't know how to play golf what-so-ever. My boyfriend will be here in a minute soooo, I'm gonna-"
"Bels, Chris is here," my mom says from the sliding door from the patio. There stands Chris, with a big smile on his face and flowers in his hand. I run into his embrace and he throws his free arm around my waist.
"Christopher!"
"Hey, love," I could hear the smile in his voice. I unwrap my arms from his neck and take the flowers from his hand. "Hope you like them."
"I love them. You know they're my favorite."
"I know. I'm gonna say hi to your dad."
I nod and give the flowers to my mom so she can put them wherever she sees it fits.
"Hello sir," Chris greets my dad. I walk distantly behind Chris squinting my eyes from the sun and cross my arms. "Got your daughter some flowers if that's okay with you."
"It's fine son. As long as you don't expect anything from her in return." He hits the golfball with the perfect hit.
"Not at all sir."
"You golf."
"Only baseball sir."
"Well today is your lucky day." he grins and squats placing a golfball on the ground. "Arabella?"
"Yes dad?"
"Give Chris and I a little privacy. I need to talk with him."
I nod and walk inside looking back a few times. I could hear them talk faintly as I make my way inside the kitchen with my mom.
"I put your flowers in your room but on the balcony. Its so pretty darling. How'd he know they're your favorite?"
I speak never taking my eyes off of him. "I guess he remembered." I smiled. "Mom?"
"Yes dear?"
"What do you think dad is saying to Chris? I don't want him scaring him off."
"I don't know." she shrugs. "You hungry?"
"No."
I see them walking towards us making small talk and laughing on their way inside the kitchen.
"Bels hand us a bottle of water would you."
"Sure."
I give them their water and head on up the stairs, Chris following close behind. I close my room door and take a seat on my bed.
He places his bottle on my dresser and lays with me, intertwining his fingers with mine. "Soooo what'd you guys talk about?"
"He was like, "What do you plan on doing with my daughter and why are you with her", and I-"
"What'd you say?"
He looks down then back up at my eyes. "I told him that for the time being I just wanted to make you happy and that you'll never have any gray clouds. And that if you did have any gray clouds I'd take them away with my sunshine."
I laughed covering my mouth. "Chris that was the corniest thing I have ever heard."
"Really?" he whispers inching closer to me.
"Really," I say mumbling into his mouth. He kisses my mouth making me shiver and get goosebumps. He places his hand on my lower back and bites on my lip, making me part them so her could get his chance in dominating our little tongue battle. He tugs on my shorts and I part our lips. "Chris I don't-"
"I get it." he pauses. "But when? When can we...you know...get intimate?" he asks grabbing his water bottle.
I shrug and get up. He pulls me back down. "No. You're not going to walk away from this conversation."
"I'm just going to call Devin and see how he's doing." Devin moved to California a week ago and I've been taking his absence at a ok feeling. I miss him so fucking much and I couldn't wait until summer break to see him. TJ was back in the band but Chris didn't allow me to be around him when he wasn't around. Ricky got moved back to bass.
"Why? You talked to him this morning. You just don't want to talk about sex, with me."
"And you're right."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm not ready yet Chris. I don't want to talk about sex because I'm not ready. I don't want to have sex with you yet."
"Ok but what about me? What about me being ready?"
"So this is about you, not us? You're supposed to respect me not being ready to be...intimate."
"It's been like 5 months Bella. Can I get something? Oral at least?"
"Christopher-"
"We're dating. We're a couple. We're teens. We're supposed to be messing around, having fun. Making mistakes-"
"Chris I don't want to make mistakes especially dealing with my first time."
"I didn't mean it like that-"
"Yes you did-"
"No I didn't. Now listen. I'm not gonna push you into this because I love and respect you. I just want you to have my virginity. That's all I want. I want someone I can trust. But we've been together for a while, and it's time for us to do something. At least get naked in front of each other to see what we're working with."
"I'm not going to give myself up that easily."
"You aren't giving yourself up Bels-"
"Wait."
"What's wrong?"
I shake my head. "Nothing. But you said you loved me. Do you?"
"I do."
"Awww Christopher." I smile placing kisses all over his face and lips.
"Do you love me?" he whispers backing away.
I bow my head and look away.
"You don't love me,"
I mean I do have strong feelings for him but it's not love. Not yet. I never been in love so how could I knew what it feels like.
