When the sun rose in the morning, I brought out the foldable table to the ground, put all the appliances on it such as croissants, orange juice, cake, jams and bread. I stood up on the front wheel and called on Laura for breakfast. The vibe was quiet romantic as the place looked entirely different in the morning, it was full of flowers, green space and blue sky that looked like an ocean above. I found it hard this time to wake her up, but she liked it when I used to caress her hair with gentle, she gets up immediately harmless and with calmness she moves until she leaves bed.
"Good morning" she whispered eyes still closed.
We started to eat, enjoying the beautiful nature around and the clean air, trying different food on the table. The plans of that day were already decided. Once we finished breakfast, we took the highway towards our next destination. The early hours of the morning were extraordinary, the sky was light blue, crows showing up, one after another, together like a massive army. The smell of flowers surrounded us and the soft blow of the wind followed us. All in harmony.
"You know, I always wished to pet a crow, and I did." I declared "I enjoyed his company".
"Lucky you! My parents never agreed on the idea of bringing a domestic animal home".
"Why?" I said, "is it because of noise and dirt?"
"that's true, but there are always ways to prevent and avoid it".
"Right you are, correct".
"I wish I had a family like yours".
"Well, you are part of it now" I informed "and they will be very excited to know you once they realize that you exist, especially my sister".
"can't wait to meet her!".
"we're here!" I interrupted.
"That was fast! I thought you said it was far"
"that's what I thought as well, I shouldn't have believed the map".
"that's a good thing though, we have additional hours now".
The girl and I headed to the slopes for the adventure. We had never skied before, but we were eager to learn. We were amazed at how easily we could adapt to the sport and how much fun we had.
We marched in the snow to go get the equipments, and there we encountered an old man standing beside the shop where we could borrow the materials.
"Welcome to Koryfi" said the old man.
"Oh thanks! May I ask where the owner of this shop is? we'll need few things".
"The owner is not here for the moment, but I can serve you. I'm his father".
"Alright, we're grateful for that".
"Tell me son, is it your first time here?"
"yes"
"Alright, alright" he said with a harsh voice "here, in this bag you'll find all you need, and I hope you enjoy it".
"Clear! How much is it?" I inquired.
"You don't have to, it's on me this time, go and make this experience memorable".
"that's very kind of you, this means a lot to us".
"Yeah, thanks a lot!" Added Laura
He smiled to us and left the business to his own child once he came back.
We carried the bags all the way to the top of the mountain and set a position to jump. We stood next to each other holding our poles, our feet on the ski fix almost sliding from the edge.
