Almost evening, Laura joined at the last moment the yearly party organized at the university. Like a disco it was, a lot of colourful lights and high beats could move the building’s floor. I stood behind the crowd looking at everyone jumping facing the DJ, and I wasn’t fond of that unusual behavior, especially for being too crowded and the smell of alchool was disturbing.
Unexpectedly, Laura surprised me from the back, she was excited that night while I wasn’t matching her vibe. As she was there, none could get me dancing but her, she grabbed my hand and pulled me near the noisy area. I was still tired because of the hard week that I went through without her. She had to spend that week with her family as she hasn’t seen her cousins for long. She put her hands in mine and our moves began to mirror, she was smiling the whole dance and very shy as we were in the heart of the university, nobody could challenge us as we were the only couple capable of doing such a thing when everybody settled by watching as they were still exhausted from dancing for too long and standing in a paralell world. Although the music was loud we could make our presence visible. The dance floor was ours; none could stop staring; people even opened more space for us, and we were surrounded by everyone. And when we finished on time with the music, we received hard applause for our performance. We were the masterpiece of that night.
The next day, Laura and I dealt to meet in the canteen after she finishes class. We sat around a table, and I was accompanied by a friend of mine, it was the first time for him to see Laura, he asked her questions, and he had a good sense of humour that we used to hold our stomach with laughter, the way he threw jokes and how he sounded when trying to speak to her. It was a new form of amusement.
We went upstairs and took a seat in an isolated room, escaping chaos of the event some university students were having.  We continued talking, my fellow was shocked of how she knew things about his country that he himself didn’t know. I felt great to see how powerful the clever girl was who I myself couldn’t compete with. We had long lasting conversations that boredom was most likely to be inexistent.
Later, we followed Laura to a classroom where we met some guy who recently proposed that we collectively discuss our university club activity, which was hosting an icebreaking session that we planned to organise within a group of students from different fields of study. Once in class, the talking started from the very beginning, the new boy that my classmate just met seemed like a well-mannered person who would talk in a respectful way that would make us listen. In order to prepare that work, we thought to use games to make it easy for people to network, we started with the yoga pose; we all had to draw a pose and switch with other players then imitate what the drawing says. Her and I couldn’t stop laughing about the weird man I drew looking like a stickman with open arms and feet. With my eyes I saw the complete ideal girl I always dreamed of, the girl I sought for in every girl I met. That long smooth hair I wished to tuck behind her ear whenever it covers her shiny face while talking impressively to us all. I was not affectionate, nor was I in a state of delusion, but I was hopelessly obsessed.
When everything finished, everyone went his way, Laura had a class to attend, my friend and I had to take the next bus and Laura’s classmate walked her to her class. At the last moment before she left, Laura and I looked at each other in the eyes, and I silently threw an uncomprehensible word that she kept thinking about during her class.
At home, Laura and I were very exhausted for having spending the whole day at the university. As for me, I fell straight to bed, while for her, she had to continue her assignment before her upcoming due date, and right after that, she fell asleep on the couch leaving everything on the table.
In the evening, when Laura finished her work, we went to the big library in downtown. On our way, I tried to hold Laura’s hand, but she suddenly took it off and said:
“How would I know if you’ll marry me?”
“How do you know if I’m in love with you?” I inquired, “are you?”
“I am” she replied, “but I don’t believe in physical touch if not sure of marriage”.
“Well, I don’t mind at all, it’s eventually just one of the love languages”
“Wake up” she said.
I panicked as I opened my eyes and felt the heat of my body rising. That interruption i had inside the dream was sudden and the dizziness in my head blocked my sight, until when Laura shouted again i could get back to conscience.
“Wake up” she repeated “you’re dreaming!”.
She held my hands with gentle and spoke in the calmest manner:
“What did you dream?”
I stayed silent and looked at her up and down, then took her in my arms bringing reassurance to my heart, then i began to breathe heavily and my stress slowly decreased.
The angel couldn’t speak, she stood between my arms waiting for my next reaction. I kissed her hand and stepped back, then looked at Laura, whose face brought complete quietness to my chaotic spirit.
