Agni Kai - Mai

𝖯𝗅𝗈𝗍 : 𝖠𝖿𝗍𝖾𝗋 𝖹𝗎𝗄𝗈 𝖻𝗋𝖾𝖺𝗄𝗌 𝖬𝖺𝗂'𝗌 𝗁𝖾𝖺𝗋𝗍 𝖼𝗈𝗆𝖿𝗈𝗋𝗍 𝗁𝖾𝗋.𝖡𝗎𝗍 𝗐𝗁𝖾𝗇 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝖿𝗂𝗇𝖽 𝗈𝗎𝗍 𝗁𝖾'𝗌 𝗁𝖾𝗅𝗉𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝖠𝗏𝖺𝗍𝖺𝗋,𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝖼𝗁𝗈𝗈𝗌𝖾 𝗍𝗈 𝗍𝗋𝖺𝖼𝗄 𝗁𝗂𝗆 𝖽𝗈𝗐𝗇.

You looked over at Mai in your bed. You've always been there for her,since you were kids. But ever since Zuko broke up with her, she's been attached to you and you didn't mind it. But letting Zuko off scott free,now that bothered you. He up and left after dumping her,with a plain and vague ass note too!

You stood up and got and ready,knowing what you had to do next. You never liked Zuko and always thought he was bad news.And he never liked you either. So it was time you two settled your differences.

After changing you left Mai a note,letting her know that you had some "unfinished business" and you promised to be back soon. Along with a little side note that she could raid your closet.You knew you would no longer have hoodies after this but oh well. It was worth it for Mai.

You walked the hall and readied a small airship for yourself,hoping to make this a short trip.In and Out.

"And where are you going n/n?" you heard a voice say from the corner of the room.

Azula stepped out from her hidden spot in the darkness. As you watched her walk towards you with a smirk you had the feeling she already knew the answer. You gave her a knowing look with a raised brow and that was all she needed. Azula motioned for you to follow her onto a warship that was up and running.The two of you leaned against the railing as the ship took off.

"You and me both know that Zuko's final Agni Kai will be against me" she started as you just listened. "But if you're finally gonna fight him for Mai's heart,might as well make it extravagant" she said gesturing to the airship before smirking at you. It was known to you that Azula had figured out your crush on Mai long ago.  You let out a long flame breath, ready to kick some ass.

20 Minutes Later

Looking down at Zuko and the rest of his new group from the airship just made you hype. You didn't feel like waiting anymore. You waited 16 years already but no longer will you sit by.

"You can tell the captain to land. I'm heading down" You said jumping onto the side of the railing.

"Make sure you kick his ass" Azula said, giving you a scarily affirmative pat on the back. You give back a nod before jumping straight off the ship,diving straight towards the group. You can tell the group notices because they scurry away from where you'll land. Using your firebending, you land safely,now eyeing the group.

"Y/N" Zuko says,coming front and center.

"Zuko" you growl out,venom laced in your tone. The rest of them start to walk forward but he puts his hand in front of them.

"What are you doing here?"

"Don't ask stupid questions Zuzu" you hear Azula say from behind you. "You brought this on yourself when you broke Mai's heart" she finishes,clear anger spilling from her voice at the end.

"I challenge you to an Agni Kai" you say preparing your battle stance.

He stares at you,knowing he has to fight you. "I accept your challenge"

"Perfect" you smiled sinisterly.

Without letting even a second pass,you immediately shoot fire straight at the traitorous prick.

And the Agni Kai starts.

(I dont feel like writing the entire fight so I'll skip to the important part)

It's been a good 20 minutes since the fight started.Both of you were tired,while Zuko looked ready to fall you stood fiercely. You'd fight however long it took, until you couldn't stand.Because this was for Mai.

"Y/N there's no need for this! What did I ever do to you?!" Zuko yelled. Now that pissed you off.

"You bastard"
You began to shoot a frenzy of flames at Zuko. Not paying attention to how your flames began to change color.

"This isn't about me and it's certainly not about you" you said,not letting up the relentless attack. "This is about Mai!"

Zuko froze,his eyes widening in what seemed to be regret. That only angered you more but you paused your assault.

"You broke her heart.You left her,not even an explanation" you said angrily, clench your fist as they lit on fire. Flickering a bright fire, a color different from your normal orange fire.

"I...I never meant to hurt her" Zuko said sincerely. But you didn't care.

"That's just the thing" you said,now sprinting towards Zuko. You jumped high in the air, your hands supporting a bright blue flame. "YOU DID!"  You sent everything you had at Zuko, a giant blue fire blast.

He tried his best to counter but ended up being overwhelmed. He fell to the ground as you back landed right in front of him. You stood over him and stepped on one of his arms and aimed a blast at his face. He looked up at you, his eyes pleading for you to spare him. You didn't want to but Azula was right about his final moments being against her.But still you didn't move.

"Y/N can we go now, its too early" you heard a familiar voice say,and it wasn't Azula.

"Mai?" you and Zuko say at the same time.

And it was true.Behind you Mai had appeared,now wearing on of your hoodies.  Tylee was there as well,in Azula's embrace(Tyzula reigns supreme).

"Cmon Y/N,lets go back home. He's not worth it" she said while glaring at Zuko.

Whatever she says goes(you simp). You relaxed your stance and walked away ffom Zuko.Azula,Tylee,Mai and you all got back to the warship and stared down at the pride crushed prince. As you leaned on the railing once more you felt arms wrap around your waist.

"You didn't have to do that just for me Y/N" Mai said,now leaning on your shoulder.

"Maybe not but I did.And I'd do it a million times again" you said while leaning back into the embrace.

"Why?" she questioned you in a low voice.

You simply turned around and pulled her into a hug.
"Because you're worth it Mai"
