Chapter 2

Jennifer.
~Later that night...doorbell rings~

I just finished cooking dinner for Deverick when the door bell had ranged. I walked to the door looking out the peep hole to see Trey and Niah, I opened the door.

"Mommy!!", I smiled

"Hey baby girl! Did you have fun?". I picked her up hugging her. "Yes! Mommy it so fun daddy took me to work with him and I then we went to sky zone oh oh and look what daddy got me!". I put her down and she took her back pack off looking inside it pulling out a cellphone. "Look mommy! Daddy got me a cellphone". I gave Tray a look because she does not need a cellphone at 6 years old

"I see baby, how bout you change into your pajamas and get ready for bed, I'll be up there soon okay". She nodded and put her phone back in her bag running to hug her dad one last time telling him goodbye.

"Bye daddy!"

"Bye babygirl I love you". He gave her a big hug and they did their little handshake and she ran upstairs.

"A cellphone?...really Trey". I crossed my arms and looked at him.

"Jennifer, chill okay it's just a phone I already have it programmed so that it's kid friendly for her".

"That's not the point she's only 6 years old! She does not need a cell phone right now". He shrugged his shoulders and fanned me off as if he didn't want to hear what I was saying.

"Trust me she needs the cell phone, she can watch her shows and movies on there and I showed her how to call me if there is any emergency my number is programmed into it if anything happens".

"Trey, I'm her mother I won't let anything happen to my baby she always with me there's no need-". I looked at past Trey and seen car lights down the drive way.

Deverick was back.

"And I'm her father Jennifer, If you can't-". I cut him off because the car was getting closer and closer

"Trey look okay, I get it Thank you for the phone and spending time with Niah but I have to get back to cooking dinner right now". He frowned at me and I can tell he felt my energy switch when I seen Devericks car. I thought he was going to say something but he just walked to his car and got in. Deverick pulled into the driveway getting out while Trey drove off.

I left the door open for Dev while I went to the kitchen to wash my hands and I started putting his food on the plate. He then walks in and sits on the couch turning on espn. "Hey baby, dinners ready", I placed his plate in front of him on the coffee table he gave me a head nod and started eating. I went upstairs to my bedroom and went to the bathroom to wash my face and get ready for bed.

~later on that same night ~

After I finished in the bathroom I was about to go back downstairs but I heard crying. I went to check on Niah and Jacala to see what was wrong. Dev was just staring at Eniah hovering over my baby with this look in his eyes.

Please don't touch my child....

"Dev? What you doing baby?",he looked at me. His eyes were blood shot red. "Baby I'm sorry I wont ever put my hands on you again I promise please forgive me",he broke down crying on his knees.I jumped a little then caressed his hair,
"It-Its okay baby I forgive you".

Why do I fall for him every time...

"You know I love you",I nodded "Do you love me?",I paused then cleared my throat,"Yes!Of course I love you Deverick",he pulled on my waist pulling me closer to him kissing stomach.I looked over and Niah was just crying her little heart out.I tried to get out of Devs grip to get her but he wouldn't let me.
