We open in a car with a young Jules whose face is pressed against the passenger side window of a car.
RUE(V.O): When Jules was eleven years old, her mother took her on a road trip.
Jules looks at her mother Amy who is driving with a tired look.
JULES: I don't understand why we have to drive seven hours to meet a psychiatrist.
AMY: Because... we want the best care possible for you.
Amy's voice had a hint of sadness but Jules didn't notice or care at all and just looked out the window of the car and saw the trees pass by so quickly. Jules fogs up the window with her breath. And in the condensation writes "HELP." After hours of driving Jules sits in a office of a psychiatrist and sees that his badge says that his name is Dr. Goodwin.
RUE(V.O): He was actually really sweet though. And he was the first doctor who didn't want to ask her a million questions.
Jules then looks at the wall next to her and She sees that the wall has A painting of dali's melting clocks.
JULES: Wasn't Dali, like, a sexual predator?
PSYCHIATRIST: Was he? I hadn't heard that before. Would you like me to take it down?
JULES: No. It's a cool painting.
PSYCHIATRIST: It is a cool painting.
RUE(V.O.): They talked for over an hour, and only later did Jules realize that she hadn't lied once. After the session, they wanted to give her a tour of the Unit.
After leaving the psychiatrist and Jules talked she and her mother were led to an elevator and taken to a hallway full of doors and rooms.
JULES: Well, what's the Unit?
DR. KAY: Think of it like a second home, where children can learn how to feel better about themselves.
JULES: (Hesitantly) Okay.
The door then closes making a loud sound which makes Jules look over her shoulder at her Mom, who stands, talkingto Dr. Goodwin which makes her sceptical. Jules was then showed to a room with other kids in it who wear grey hoodies and sees they're playing connect 4 and watching T.V on a small T.V at the front room. To be honest it looked kinda depressing. In the room the two are eyed by an exceptionally large boy eyes Jules and Dr. Kay. He stands up, pulls his pants down, and exposes himself.
DR. KAY: So, this is our common area, where we have group sessions, watch movies, play games, have art class. Um, on Tuesdays we have canine therapy. Uh, Thursdays we have music therapy.
In the room the two are eyed by an exceptionally large boy eyes Jules and Dr. Kay. He stands up, pulls his pants down, and exposes himself.
JESSE: Dr. Kay!
To Jules's shock, the fat boy begins to jack off in front of both Dr. Kay and Jules.
JESSE: SUCK MY DICK, YOU FUCKING CUNTS!
DR. KAY: Allan!
In like 1.5 seconds, a giant resident assistant, Allen, tackles Jesse to the ground. Jules then enters one of the rooms and sees one of the kids laying on the beds and sees that beds look uncomfortable
DR. KAY: Usually there's two to a room, depending on how many patients are with us.
Jules and Dr. Kay then walk the halls again looking at more rooms of the area.
JULES: So the kids live here?
DR. KAY: For short periods of time. And this is the quiet room.
Dr. Kay then shows a padded room with Jesse inside it who look rather angry.
