We see Jules at the train stop with Alex as he drops her off then leaves as Jules waves goodbye, Jules listens to music as the train moves, Jules looks out the window and starts to wonder. How much does she love Alex?
RUE(V.O): Ever since Nate blackmailed her and forced her to do something that she never wanted to do she start to think about certain things like, "Will he hate me?", "Will he still love me?", "Will the truth hurt him?", Jules needed some time to think so she diced to take a trip to New York and see her friend.
At the parking lot Jules runs to her friend TC with a smile and the two embrace in a hug.
TC: Oh, I missed you!
We cut to the two in a car and Jules putting her feet up on the car window as they drive by the buildings and other cars.
TC: So how are the suburbs treating you?
JULES: They're claustrophobic.
TC: Yeah, how do you like it? How you doing?
JULES: I don't know. It's been a weird, weird-ass year.
TC: Weird in what way?
JULES: Weird in every way.
TC: Shit. You make some good friends, at least?
JULES: Yeah, I got one.
TC: Yeah?
JULES: But it's, like, complicated.
TC: Ooh, well, are you friends, or are you a little bit more, like a special kind of friend?
JULES: Both, I guess? Yeah.
TC: Okay. What, are you in love with him or something?
JULES: Maybe. Like I said, complicated.
TC: Ooh, I hear you sister.
JULES: Yeah.
TC: Okay! So... what's the deal?
JULES: I don't know. I don't know what it is.
TC: Yeah.
JULES: It's not, like, great right now. I'm not exactly, like, in the best place.
TC: Why? What's going on?
JULES: I came here so I wouldn't have to think about it.
TC: Understood.
As they drive to TC's apartment Jules and TC begin to sing "When I R.I.P" by Labrinth as the song plays on the radio. As they go through a tunnel, Jules stands up and takes in the wind as they drive, already forgetting her problems.
After the ride Jules and TC walk up the apartment staircase to TC's apartment with Jules following behind her.
JULES: This one?
TC: No, I'm one more up. One more up.
They then reach the 4th floor and run while laughing through the hallway. The two then reach the apartment and burst in laughing but are surprised by a camera flash. The one holding it is Anna, TC's roomate.
