Alaska was out on a rooftop patrol since Jake was with Lao and Fu trying to catch a goblin. The gem was in her dragon form, flying above the buildings, bored was written on her face. She groaned with frustration as she landed on a water tower.
"'Hey, princess, could you do a rooftop patrol while me and gramps catch a goblin?' Sure, but I didn't know it'd be such a quiet night."
The gem dragon let out a breath of mist from her nose as she huffed out a sigh and took off again.
Alaska flew for a bit until she spotted something, something strange. Five figures were following her, but she pretended to not notice and hid behind a storage shed. She climbed onto the roof of the shed and waited as the shadows landed on the roof bellow.
"It's gone." The voices of these shadows sounded familiar to the dragon as she got ready to pounce.
"Couldn't have gotten far, let's start looking." Alaska jumped down and pinned one of the shadows under her, growling as she did.
But her growling stopped when she got a good look at who she pinned down. "Mikey?"
Alaska looked at the other shadows as they came closer. "Leo, Raph, Donnie? Is it really you guys, or am I dreaming?"
Leo raised a brow and saw the one thing that made him realize who she really was. Her gem. "Alaska? Is that you?"
The dragon got off Mikey and put a talon over her lips. "You can't use my real name when I'm in this form. Call me Frost."
Donnie came forward and inspected her wings. "This is incredible, so you're a gem-human-dragon hybrid?"
"No, dragon-gem. Dragons can take a human form; I just didn't unlock mine until recently. We have a lot to catch up on."
Splinter then came up to her. "Indeed, we do, my child."
Alaska then got an idea, "You guys wanna meet my family? They were pretty chill when they found out I was a dragon."
Raph stepped forward. "Sorry, uh, Frost, but we gotta go fix up the lair. Come around when you wanna hang out or train."
Cue the group hug. "I will."
Time Skip: Brought to you by the theme song!
"Trixie, Spud, Princess, wait up!" Alaska turned to see Jake rushing towards them.
"Dude, we hit the skate park last night, and I was talking to you except...wait a minute, you two weren't there." Spud had to point that out.
"Yeah, sorry, guys. We had this, uh, thing." Alaska nodded as she saw Rose at the other end of the hall. "I'll see you guys later."
The gem caught up to her friend and the two girls walked to class together. "So, how're you and Jake?"
Alaska smiled at Rose's attempt to tease. "We're doing good actually, we're dating."
"Really?! I'm so happy for you, Snowflake!" Rose hugged Alaska and the two kept walking, catching up on the way.
Later that day, Alaska was in the shop with Jake, Lao, and Fu. Jake was complaining about how balancing two lives was difficult for him.
"I'm telling you, Gramps, Princess. All this dragon stuff is ruining my life, I'm starting to wish I could pass the dragon baton to the next kid and be done with it."
Lao was fixing a toaster as he listened. "Sorry, young one, but the duties of the American Dragon belong to you and only you."
Alaska had to agree. "He's right, Dragon, besides you don't have to balance three lives like I do. I have to help with gem stuff, magic stuff, and normal stuff all the time."
