Chapter 8-Diary

     I'm making more treats for lunch. I'm making a traditional Yale dessert, just in miny form. I asked Tome what his favorite was, as I don't know much about Yale. I was in my head, so I didn't hear my Diary open as I had it sitting on the table. I had put my real name in the book when I knew Tom would have it in his bag so it wouldn't open. I trust him enough as I heard him defend me the other day against the girls in the courtyard. I'm not making assumptions, either. I asked him about it enough that he finally gave in. His face was funny.

     I had put the desserts in the oven and was about to make the frosting that went over it when I heard someone say my name. It wasn't my fake name either, it was my real one. I knew it wasn't Tom's voice, so I turned around slowly and saw Mattheo, Blaise, and Draco standing there. Matteo was holding a diary, but it couldn't be mine as it was on the table in front of me, so it had to be Tom's.

     I took a deep breath and closed my Diary while quickly seeing what the message was. It was Tom's handwriting, and he said to meet him in the kitchen as he wanted to ask more questions.

     I kept looking down till I figured out what to say. I looked up, but before I could speak, Tom came inside the kitchen looking like he was going to kill someone.

     They, Blaise, Mattheo, and Draco, turned to look at him as Theo entered the room too. It was silent.

     Sitting in my dorm, I decided to bring out the book. Opening it, I was flipping through the pages to see if Eilean wrote anything else. As I flipped through, I got to the end and thought my eyes were deceiving me.

     Eilean, or Eila, out her name in the book. I quickly wrote, 'Meet me in the kitchen. I have many questions.'

     I figured that if she didn't respond, she was already in the kitchen as yesterday she asked me what my favorite Yale desserts were to make them for tomorrow's lunch.

     I had to change my clothes, as I was still in my uniform, before making my way down there. But when I exited the bathroom, I saw someone rush out the door. I quickly saw the book missing so I rushed after them.

     When I ran out of the room, I ran into Theo. He held me, but I pushed him out of the way and continued running after them.

     I heard Theo running after me and I saw the common room door close. I took a guess that they were running towards the kitchen so I took the shortcuts I knew and arrived there quickly.

     When I opened the door, I saw Blaise, Mattheo, who was holding my journal, and Draco. Eilean was standing behind a counter with stuff behind her, I guess she was in here baking.

     I stood there, ready to kill Mattheo for taking my journal, when Eila sighed. She then said, "Give him the book back." Her voice was calm and she sounded tired.

     Mattheo looked at her for a few seconds before giving it back. Eila nodded before looking away. It was quiet for some time before she said, "Don't tell anyone. I want it to stay a secret. Understand?"

     They nodded.

     I had just told them to keep it a secret. I didn't threaten them because I'm too tired for this. I wasn't tired before, but now I am. When they nodded, I thought before saying, "Stay out of his journal. It's connected to mine and he's the only one I want to see it. Okay."

     They mumbled a okay. I didn't call it a diary like I like to tease him about because, as I previously mentioned, I'm too tired to care.

     Turning around, I finished my baking, told the house elves, and walked out of the room. While I was doing this, they had sat down at the tables and talked between themselves.

     When I got to my dorm, I barely had the energy to change and fell asleep.
