After talking with Tom, we would sometimes hang out, but not often. He has picked up the habit of being my partner during potions, as he said, 'None of the other idiots here know what they're doing.'

He also uses the diary to contact me whenever he wants. I've told him many times not to as it's annoying to remove, but he never listens. So here I am, sitting in my empty dorm and talking to Tom through the diary. He wants to know my real name, but I've told him many times that I'm not going to. He also wants me to not go back to the mine I was sold to because I've already told him about how dangerous it is and what the other men there do to me.

I've never had a problem thinking about being raped, but when saying it out loud, I tend to freeze up.

It's been a few days, and I've written a lot in the diary. I try not to be so conscious that someone is reading it, and most of the time I'm not, but some things I can't help but leave out. Like what my body currently looks like. I don't want to talk about how skinny I am. Or how many scars are on what part of my body. But I guess in the end, someone is going to read it and it's best to get it out of the way.

I'm still going to the mine on the weekend. And with Tom as my perfect partner, I don't have to worry about finding someone to cover for me or make up an excuse.

I was walking away from the Great Hall as I couldn't stand to look at food. I turned the corner when I saw a group of girls standing around and talking to each other. I would've walked right past if I hadn't heard my name.

I took some steps back and hid around the corner, listing what they were saying.

"Can you believe that Eilean is so skinny? Like, it looks like she's just trying to get attention," one girl said.

"I know. Like, we get it, you want to be special so Tom will notice you," Another girl said.

"It's not like Tom will go for her anyway. He deserves someone like us." The third girl said.

"I know. She's partners with him in every potion class. And she's always hanging out with him. Like give it a rest girl, he's never going to like you." The first girl said.

I looked down at the ground, thinking over everything to see if anything they said was true. But it wasn't. He wants to be my partner in every class we have together. He's always around me, so technicall, he's following me around. And I'm not trying to be unique to get his attention.

I still changed my course so I didn't have to pass them and went a different way to get to the courtyard.

I've been waiting for Eilean to arrive at the ever since classes let out. I knew she sat in the courtyard during most lunches. I want to take her back into the chamber of secrets that way, she doesn't have to be in the cold as it's almost Yale. I also want another chance to convince her not to return to the mine she was sold to.

I don't know what it is about her, but I want to look after her and ensure she stays safe. It's like everything in my body is telling me to protect her at all costs. I've never felt this way about anyone. Not my brother or his friends, like Draco and Blaise. Or my friend Theodore.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard someone say Eilean. Looking up, I saw Parkinson, Greengrass, and one other girl talking among themselves. When I listened closely, they were talking about Eilean, calling her stuff like an attention seeker and a mudblood.

If it was anyone else, I wouldn't have cared, but since it was Eilean, I walked up to them and said, "What do you think you're doing?"

They paused before they started flirting with me. I rolled my eyes before saying with no emotion, "Five points from each of you for not being in the Great Hall. Now, start walking before I have to take away more points from our house."

As they walked away, I saw Eilean walk out and approach her. She gave me a small smile, which I returned and led her towards the Chamber of Secrets.
