"We're born free. All of us. Free. Some don't believe it, some try to take it away. To hell with them". -Eren Jaeger

Koby's life is one of servitude and misery, devoid of freedom and justice.

Destined to live a life ruled by the strongest of this sea, the garbage of society, ruling over the innocent with their fists and abuse. Sometimes he thinks if he will ever be free to speak about the things that make him smile and give him hope for a better world. Koby wonders if he will ever be on the right side of justice and fulfill his dream in this part of the world where pirates rule over the east blue seas and bask in the richness that they stole from the most deprived and shed tears from the powerless.

But in the place where he is imprisoned, if anyone knew what his dream is (a dream that he hoped would one day come true because Koby is tired of this place, of those cruel pirates who rule over him, and tired of this life of submission when all he wants is to be free and fight with justice while wearing these opulent white clothes and saving people and to see their smiles),

But he knows he can live this dream and escapes from this damned place because, after two years of suffering, Koby is so tired to the point that he just wants to scream at the world that this is enough, yet this self-made boat that he built is just waiting for him to get on it and sail away and be finally free (but kody above all was afraid because failing meant death and if he dies, he will never join the right side of justice and saves people with a smile, but how can he be a hero when he is coward ?)

Seeing those cannonballs shooting toward this cruise ship and hearing the screams of people, Koby knows that this is so wrong and unjust because the people who were hurt did nothing but sail across that sea and get under the radar and avarice of Alvida's crew.

"CHORE BOY! "YOU COME WITH US!" Alvida shrieked as she departed for the targeted cruise ship (in order to steal and hurt people, and Koby despises it because he wants to be on the other side, to protect - not to hurt the innocent).

"Y-YES, CAPTAIN!" Answers Koby because he doesn't have the choice to close his mouth and obeys again and again.

Boarding the cruise ship Koby sees the look of fear on people's faces when they see them.

'don't look at me like that, please! I'm not like them!',

because Koby desires that people will regard him with assurance because they will know he is there to protect them and not to harm them-)

" CHEEK-PIGS, YOU COME WITH US!" yelled Alvida's pirates.

And Koby obeys as he always does because he can't do anything against those huge men who rule over and conquer the seas with barbarism. After all, he is a coward and a weakling. He wonders once more if he will find the courage to talk about this dream that he has buried deep inside his heart for fear that these tyrants will steal it from him because they have already stolen his freedom.

Yet, Koby never imagined that a simple barrel holding the world's future kings (who chose to live the sinful lives of his captors, but when he saw them and spoke to them, they were so different from the men of his nightmares; this boy destined to be king, whose voice echoed with the song of freedom and whose smile brought shame to the sun, and this girl, whose eyes were so red and dead, a shadow that captured the darkness that tried to lurk around her captain, yet so warm and fearless to the awful world and so brave to chants their dreams) would turn out to be his heroes and the hands that pushed him forward to reach his goal without fear because those same hands are the swords that cut off his chains of misery and servitude.

The screams outside the barrel wake Luffy up, and given the barrel's stability, he is certain they have reached the ship Ume mentioned. Speaking of Ume, she was still sleeping (with those black circles under her eyes, it had been a long time since she had closed her eyes and slept, and Luffy promised as her captain and friend that now that he was here, she would be able to rest peacefully now that she is no longer alone).
