Note: the final chapter of the Arc East Blue saga is here! Good reading, and have fun!Long ass chapter, as usual.

"How corrupt i must be to shallow calamity and tragedy at once?"

The skies appear as dark as a pit of misery, and the waters descending from the ominous gray clouds cleanse the land with pity and guilt. The land has been so heavily tainted by fire and blood that the clouds, observing from above, could only weep in pity, trying to cleanse the world of the blood so many times spilled by the siege monsters.

In a graveyard, a figure stands with the rain soaking her completely and the earth beneath her shoes seeming to swallow her. The wails of the damned and the prayers of the dead (to whom will they pray? They're already gone. Gone. The gods have abandoned them. Which souls will they be praying for? What is left for them in this place engulfed six feet under except emptiness?) furls in an opus of misery and echoes about her like the raging tempest of the beast that lives within her.

SAKUNOSUKE ODA

1491- 1518

She stood over the grave, emotionless, eyes empty and lifeless, gazing at the name with grief engulfing her heart (and the voices were louder than they had ever been). This awful weight inside her was back, this horrible feeling, this hole in her, the darkness that had lurked in the recesses of her inner being since the beginning of her existence.

Thunder rages in the sky as wrath consumes her entire being, and the chaos of the ashes of grief erupts, hurls, and dances in a horrific form inside her, bones, souls, cries, the empire inside her shattered, and the dead ones strive to escape this cage of dread and darkness.

Vacant, empty, and lifeless, that's what she is. Yet she is not the one in this grave. dead. gone. buried.

'You lied to me. You lied to me. You fucking lied!'

The accusations crashed through her mind like a shattered disc of hopelessness.

He lied because he was dead. Gone. Buried six feet beneath this rough ground, abandoning her.

(The entity within her cackles, taunts, and laughs at her sorrow).

Everything within her cries out (the wounds burn and stir, and she wants to bleed and demand forgiveness) because this isn't how it was supposed to be. No, this wasn't the end for him. He didn't deserve it (but she does; she deserves everything that makes her insides boil and ache with misery, she deserves to suffer for all her faults, she deserves death, and so much more).

The remnants of her ruined heart could only stare at her mind and scream back that it's how it is and nothing will change it. Because she is still alive, breathing and hurting, and the gods drunk on her suffering like a feast for their souls.

She has no idea what is going on; she is lost once more in this absence that no one can save her from (and the beast claw inside her, restricted in this cage, eagerly awaiting her to let them out and bring devastation to the world).

She raises her head and stares at the wailing sky, allowing drops of water to fall on her eyes and stain her cheeks with the imitation of tears (and the imitation of being human and crying for a dear dead friend causes her mind to whirl with disgust).

Ha. The cruel sky can cry out in pity, but a being like her couldn't even cry out in grief. To hell with this world! To heck with him, not grabbing her and letting them perish together in the flames of death.
