4. the pretty thief and the ugly clowns

The sun burnt Zoro's body, and the void in his stomach exacerbated the heat, and the only thing surrounding him was the sea and two idiots who were his new crewmates.

" UME ! I'M SO HUNGRY!" cries his dumb captain.

"You could have had food for now if you hadn't eaten everything in half an hour like a starving beast," the black-haired girl remarked.

"But I was hungry," he laments.

"You're always hungry," she asserts.

"but it's not my fault if I love foods and meats"

"and it not of my fault if I love death but here clearly even them don't wants me"

"It's because you're stupid, and they probably don't want dead dumb people" (and because you have promised Luffy that you will be there with him when he becomes king of pirates, and Luffy has promised the skies that he and Ume will live and die together side by side)

"i won yesterday so it's you who is dumb, captain"

"Ha?! No, Zoro is the one who lost, making him the most stupid of us all"

Zoro's brow furrows at that remark, he glares at his weird companion, then points at the girl with the red eyes;

"it's because this suicidal maniac threw me on the floor and continued her race"

And at this point, the tissue maniac has the audacity to put out her tongue to him:

"It's not my fault if you were heavy; you're the one who's supposed to carry me, not me! I wonder where chivalry has gone these days."

" You tissue bitch! I am not your servant."

"Thank goodness! Because if you were my servant, I would have fired you on the first day, frog-head," she states,and raises her shoulders to establish her claim.

"You psych-"

"shi shi shi you're both so dumb it's funny," Luffy laughs (and Luffy knows he has the best crew in the world since Zoro's strength and passion is something he has always aspired to have in his crew someday and admires in him) His first mate's strength is something he trusts with his eyes closed no matter the costs. In order to protect his back and get back at him, Luffy knew that Ume would do everything in her power and witnessing those two is like watching an endless comedy)

Zoro notes how their first mate's eyes soften as she turns her head to gaze at Luffy when he laughs. (And Zoro wonders why her eyes look so guilty when she looks at Luffy. It was as if her mere existence beside them was the most heinous thing she had committed. And he thinks once more about what sins she could have committed before meeting Luffy since only someone who has tasted blood on their hands would shoot at someone's feet with a smile on their face (or just a crazy psycho like her).

" Oh, Ume! A bird!" Luffy points at the bird with stars in his eyes, and Zoro and Umekui stare up at the bird in the sky.

Then his smile broadens as an idea occurs to him:

"YOSH! Let's eat this bird!"

" hum? How?" Zoro says in confusion.

" Leave it to me!" exclaims Luffy, stretching his arms at the bird.

"GOMU GOMU NO ROCKET-"

Zoro and Umekui lifted their heads and looked to see their captain prepulse himself toward the bird, only to get stuck in its beak.
