The first game of the season for the chiefs

Dorothea's pov

"Hey dad" i said as i got home. I was out in town for coffee with my friend- Erin.

"Hey Thea, how's Erin?" dad doesn't know Erin personally but i've told him things about her and he's genuinely interested in what's happening in her life now.

"She's good, she just got settled in at her new position" Erin is about to turn nineteen soon. She graduated high school early and just got promoted from secretary to a personal assistant at the company that she's been working for ever since graduating.

"When does today's game start?" i asked.

"Its at six but i have to get there by 4:30"

"Okay, will grandma be there?"

"Yeah, she's gonna get there right before six though"

"That's okay, i'll find something to do" i responded.

"Okay, so are you riding with me?" he questioned.

"Yeah, if that's okay"

"Yeah that's no problem, i'd have to swing by the house before going to the stadium anyway. Food's on the stove and i've got a meeting with the team manager in town so be ready for me to pick you up on my way back" he said.

"Okay dad, thanks for making dinner" i said as i gave him a quick hug.

"Sure thing T, i love you, bye!" he said as he went out the door.

"I love you too, bye dad!" i said before he closed the door.

I sighed as i walked into the kitchen. I am grateful that he made food but it's kinda hard to eat when you have a war inside of your brain.

My mood declined even more when i discovered that it was pasta.

I used to love it but i can't eat it anymore.

I decided that i'll eat just the chicken because i need to eat something so i picked up a decent sized portion of pasta and put it in a plastic baggie so i can say that i ate.

I put two small pieces of chicken with mozzarella cheese on my plate and went over to the kitchen island stool.

I distracted myself by scrolling through my tiktok which mostly consisted of Taylor Swift. I love her. She's amazing and got me through a lot of shit before i even knew it was her.

I call her my mom because she's always there for me, just like a mother should be. I look up to her a lot which is kind of a weird thought considering that she probably doesn't even know that i exist.

After painful 30 minutes of forcing myself to eat, i managed to finish the relatively small amount of food. I didn't trust myself around a toilet right now so i decided to hang out in the living room.

Hey Skye!" i said to my yorkie when she joined me on the couch.

She loves cuddles, so she laid down on my lap as i scrolled through my socials until i had to get ready.

I got changed into my new(smaller sized) pair of blue mom jeans and a chiefs hoodie and brushed through my hair. I put on my mahogany red lipstick, mascara and some concealer and decided that i look good enough for a game.

I don't wear much makeup because i have a skin condition, but i try to work around it.

I made sure that i had everything i needed in my bag. I packed some water, my earbuds, gum and power bank.

I decided to take Skye so i packed her some food, water and a few toys.

I saw dad's car pull into the driveway so i put my shoes on, grabbed Skye and locked the house. I had my bag on my shoulder.

"hey dad" i said i i got into the car after putting my dog and bag in the backseat.

"Hey thea, you bringing skye today?" he asked.

"Yeah, i'll take her on a walk to the park near the stadium before the game starts"

"Okay bud, just let your grandma know when you'll be joining her so she doesn't worry"

"Okay, i'll text her the plan"

——————————————————————

Like i said, i took Skye to the park to walk around a bit. I had to carry her for the second half of the walk because she has short legs, so she gets tired after a while and i walk fast because it burns more calories.

I met a few groups of chiefs fans that somehow recognized me, so i took some pictures with them and we talked a little.

As i reentered the stadium, there was a lot more fans. I still took the pictures, hugged and talked with them, but not as in depth as there was a lot more of them than in the park.

The chiefs ended up losing by two points, but it was still a good game. Me and my grandma had a lot of fun watching it.

Dad and the guys decided to go to the bar for an after game thing so grandma drove me and Skye home.

—————————————————————

"Hey, are those new jeans?" she asked as we entered the house.

"Yeah, my old ones ripped so i got a new pair." i lied. She's been eyeing me suspiciously for the whole evening, so i have to be believable with my lies.

"Dot, i don't really want to ask this question but you look like you lost weight since i las saw you and you were really skinny then anyway. Are you eating?" she asked. I was panicking on the inside but kept my composure on the outside.

"What kind of question is that grams, you know that i love food! Of course i'm eating. I started working out and going on more walks with Skye, that's probably the reason that i look different" i made sure to sound relaxed to keep grandma's suspicions at bay.

"I'm sorry i had to ask. I'm your grandma, worrying about you is in my job description" she said as she hugged me.

Shortly after that she went back to her house and i decided to go on a quick run before dad comes back.

I wanted to burn all the food that i consumed earlier. Cheese is full of fat plus the chicken and sauce that it was made in. Add that to the pear that i ate this morning and you get way too many calories for me.

This is not meant to glamorize ED's but it's written from a perspective of a person that has one do it might seem that way.

Calories are not a bad thing, they're just what allows us to stay alive. That was their only meaning before diet culture told us that we should count them, avoid them and burn them on purpose.

You deserve to eat and you deserve to be happy. You are beautiful inside and out!

Society is shit so please don't listen to it's unrealistic standards.

You deserve the world!
