Taylor's pov

Me and Travis have been together for three weeks now after being in the talking stage for a week.

He has a daughter who i saw in the short section of the podcast of when they talked about my concert that prompted me to contact him in the first place.

We visited each other a few times but i haven't met his daughter yet.

After a long talk, me and Travis decided that i should finally meet her.

Today was the first day since our talk where both our schedules were free, so i'm  on my way to Kansas City.

"Hey babe!" me and Travis said at the same time as i came into his house.

"How are you?" he asked as we walked to the living room.

"I'm good, thankfully i managed to lose the paps" i replied.

"That's good. Thea should be back in an hour because she has to drive her friend home after school" he announced.

"Okay, tell me some general information about her, i want to know what to expect" i  said.

"Okay. Her name is Dorothea but everyone calls her Thea, T or Dot. I had her when i was 17 and she wasn't planned. Her mother- Brenda was 19 at the time and said that she can raise her. We eventually settled on a shared custody so i was actively present in her life, but when she was 9, her mother got married and moved to Canada. She decided to take T with her and didn't let me visit. I tried the legal path but Brenda convinced the judge that Dot didn't really want to see me." he stopped and took a deep breath.

"She also started ignoring my phone calls, completely cutting off my access to my daughter. She was only nine and only had an ipad, when she finally got a phone, she wasn't given my number. when she was fourteen years old, i finally got a call from Brenda. She told me that she's had enough of Thea and that she wants me to take her back. I gladly accepted the offer and got my daughter back. She's lived with me ever since" he finished.

"Do you know what happened during those years?" i questioned.

"No, the only thing that Thea told me is that her mother didn't care about her, so she begged her for years to be allowed back with me. She also prohibited me from calling Brenda her 'mom'. But she was also a lot different at the time." he replied.

"What do you mean by 'different'?" i asked.

"She was in her room constantly. She also seemed a lot weaker and more fragile, both mentally and physically. She was the polar opposite of the happy, lively and energetic nine year old that was taken away from me. She got some life back since then though, she's happier now"

"I'm glad that she's happier, that sounded like a hard time for her. What does she like now?" i said.

"She loves music, animals, winter, movies, TV shows, watching youtube and scrolling through social media. She also states that she loves nighttime, rain and thunderstorms."

"Does she sing? And what kind of music does she like?" i asked out of curiosity.

"She used to love singing but i haven't heard her sing since she was nine. I think that she listens to a bit of everything but she is a huge swiftie." he stated.

"Wait, really?" i asked.

"Yes, she was the one who got me to listen to your music in the first place, thats why she spoke up on the podcast" he responded while laughing.
