Dorothea's pov

The next four weeks went by in a blur.

School restarted and i'm already overwhelmed. My eating hasn't improved either, the only thing i eat is some rice wafers in school with my best friend- Avery. I sometimes put them in my pocket too, but i don't want her to get suspicious.

—————————————————————-

School just finished so me and Avery made our way over to my car. It's a black SUV that has tinted windows just in case. I'm driving Avery home today because her parents can't pick her up today and she doesn't have her drivers license yet.

"So how do you feel about meeting her?" i'm supposed to be meeting my dad's girlfriend today and i'm kinda nervous.

"I don't know. I'm scared that she won't like me or that she'll be rude or that she'll hurt my dad. I didn't even have much time to prepare because he told me about it yesterday night. I don't even know her name" i shared.

"Dorothea, she will love you just like anyone else who knows you. You said it yourself that your dad seems happier since they got together so she must be a good person" Avery said, using my full name which she only does when she's saying something important.

"Okay, thanks Aves" i replied. I felt a little better after she said it so we continued with normal conversation.

—————————————————————

"I'm back!" i yelled into the house as i walked in.

"Hi buddy!" my dad said as he hugged me.

"She's in the living room and she's really nice so you don't have to worry. Please don't freak out though!" he said as we started making our way towards the living room.

When we walked in, i saw a blonde woman sitting on the couch. When she saw us come in she stood up, making my jaw drop. There's no way that my dad is dating THE Taylor Swift, right?

"No, that has to be Ashley." i stated, a little louder than i intended.

"Who's Ashley?" my dad asked as the woman started laughing.

"It doesn't matter dad. Hi i'm Thea" i quickly replied as i extended my hand towards the tall blonde.

"Hi i'm Taylor" she said back. I nodded my head with my eyes still wide.

My dad laughed at my face expression and we all sat down on the couch. We went through some basic get to know each other stuff with me obviously already knowing a lot. After a while, my dad asked if i was hungry.

"No, me and Avery got some chipotle after school" i lied.

"Who's Avery?" Taylor asked.

"She's my best friend and has been since tenth grade" i replied while smiling.

The day went better than i could ever expect. I think Taylor liked me but i still couldn't help but overthink everything i did.

I also hope she didn't get hurt by the fact that i didn't go to dinner with them. When dinner time came around, i said that because of not finding out about today's meeting until yesterday night, i had premade plans with Erin that i couldn' cancel. It was a lie and i felt bad about it but i really didn't want to eat, especially in some (probably fancy) restaurant where i wouldn't even be able to check the food's caloric value.

Hey!

This is crappy and short but i didn't know how to write Taylor in.

Thank you everyone who shared their thoughts on the last chapter :)

I think i'll try to incorporate chapters written from Taylor and Travis's perspectives.

Let me know if you have any suggestions/opinions!

Take care of yourselves, i love you all <33
