Chapter 5 - Caught Red Handed

Nashi's POV

I couldn't sleep because I was worried about Mum. I walked out of my bedroom wanting to see Dad. Down the dark hallway, I noticed Dad's office was the only room with a light on, so I knew he must've been working late. I walked over to the ajar door and heard him talking. I peeked through the door and saw him pacing around the room while he was on the phone.

"I need you to analyse the video I've sent you immediately. It was sent from Lucy's phone by the people who've kidnapped her. So, I need you to track her phone's location" he ordered someone on the phone. 'Video? I need to watch it. It might help me find Mum' I thought. Knowing Dad, he's not going to show me the video willingly so when he's not looking, I need to sneak onto his computer and watch. I hate sitting on the sidelines while everyone else is looking for her. Plus, I'm the heir of Fairy Tail, there must be something I can do.

"Ah!" Dad shouted in frustration and tried not to throw his phone again. I decided to come out of hiding to see if he was alright. I know he wasn't because Mum's gone but maybe I can help him calm down. "Dad?" I called out as I pushed the door open. He looked over to me in surprise and combed his hair back. "Nashi" he said calmly as he took a deep breath.

"Did I wake you up?" he asked as he walked over and kneeled in front of me. I shook my head, "I was worried about Mum" I told him. He gave me a small smile. "Me too...but we found a new lead. Hopefully, this will get us one step closer to getting your Mum back" he said. I stepped forward and I hugged him. He hugged back a little tighter than usual like he didn't want to let go.

"We will find her Dad and bring her home" I said, hoping to make him feel better. We pulled apart and he smiled sweetly at me. "Thanks Nashi. How about I take you back to bed? I can read you a story like Mum does?" he said, and I nodded with a smile. He stood up and held his hand out to me. I took it and we walked towards the door. When we got to the doorway, I took a glance over my shoulder at the computer, formulating a plan to watch the video while Dad wasn't watching.

The next morning, I woke up in Dad's arms on my bed. After reading a story last night, I fell asleep, and it seems Dad did too. Taking this as my chance to watch the video he was watching last night, I slowly snuck out of his arms and out of the room. I walked quickly to Dad's office and ran to his computer. His red lock screen appeared on the screen. I typed his password which I figured out by watching him type when he let me play on his computer. 'Fire_Dragon_Igneel777' was his password, Grandfather's name and the year he died.

I quickly found the folder called 'Business' where he hid his mafia files. I managed to quickly find the video and open it up to watch. It made me angry watching the man touch my mum. I paused the video when I noticed a grey dirty concrete pillar with graffiti decorating the sides barely visible in the darkness in the background. They were in an abandoned building.

Suddenly Dad burst into the room and saw me. He looked slightly mad, catching me red-handed. "Nashi, what are you doing on my computer?" he said sternly as he stomped over to see what I was looking at on his computer. He became angrier when he saw I was watching the video. "Wait, before you get mad at me, look at this" I said while pointing to the pillar in the video. Dad leaned in to see what I was pointing at. "They're in an abandoned building" I told him.

Dad patted my back, "good eye" he said with a smile but then he coughed. "Ah, I mean, you're still in trouble for sneaking onto my computer. No milkshakes for three days" he said. What?! No milkshakes for three days?! I'll die without my milkshakes! "What?! No!" I complained as I jumped out of my seat. "No arguments, now march to your butt to your room and get dressed missy" he scolded and then pointed at the door. I pouted and walked back to my room.

Natsu's POV

I sighed when Nashi left the room. She takes after me so much, especially my mischievous side. Thankfully though Nashi found a clue that might help us find Lucy faster. My phone rang and I saw Levy's name appear on the screen. I answered it and put the phone up to my ear. "Speak" I ordered. "Boss, I've analysed the video and I think they've taken her to-." "An abandoned building" I interrupted Levy. "Yes, how did you know?" she asked, curiously. "Nashi, long story. Anyway, did you find anything else?" I asked while sitting on the edge of my desk.

"It was hard to find any other information from the video, but I noticed Lucy was tapping her foot which I believe she's trying to tell us something in Morse code. She tapped the message 'PL'" she replied. 'PL? What does that mean?' I wondered. Was Lucy trying to tell us her location? "What about tracking her phone?" I asked. "Good news, I tracked her phone to an abandoned building on the edge of the city where I believe they are keeping her. It used to be used as a hospital before it got shut down about one hundred years ago" she replied. "Tell the men to suit up. We're leaving in an hour" I ordered and then hung up. I hoped we find Lucy at this location, alive.
