"Any news about booty?" asked the eager captain. "Nothing," replied one of the runners.
One-Eyed Butcher, the captain of the infamous Prince of Crackers, is quite the character. He's known for his dastardly deeds like hijacking, kidnapping, and piracy. It's a tradition in his family, passed down from his late father. They've struck fear into the hearts of sailors for centuries, plundering treasures and raiding cargo. The crew keeps their real names a secret, sticking to nicknames instead. They are a legendary bunch.
The treasure has consumed his every thought for the past few days. The co-captain and the rest of the crew have been on a relentless quest, scouring far and wide in search of this legendary treasure, hoping it would bestow upon them unimaginable wealth. They've ventured into uncharted territories, exploring mysterious locales, all in the pursuit of uncovering hidden riches. But alas, their endeavours have proven fruitless.
One fateful day, as the captain sat upon his grand chair, a glint of curiosity sparkling in his eyes, he turned to the runner with a peculiar expression on his face. Holding his drink with the bottom delicately balanced between his fingers, he inquired, "What of the miner we captured?"
The runner's response was disheartening. "She appears to be completely oblivious to any knowledge of the treasure, captain," he replied with a touch of disappointment. "Her and the other miners were dispatched to toil away in the mines of South America."
He stares into the air as another runner comes in saying he found some men saying they were looking for the miners in Victorian London. They said the Mayor searched for them as they aborted their journey
"And you told them?" The captain asked with so much surprise and curiosity written all over his face.
"I gave them a blunt response"In CESHITA;
Mr. Huger gave the miners every piece of information he had concerning the pirates. He hasn't seen those particular pirates come into town for months. He spoke about a treasure that has been missing for centuries. The government has also tried to get hold of this treasure, which is said to have some kind of unlocking power and wealth. Legend has it that whoever possesses the treasure can make the different islands on the sea submissive.
Williams requested to see this treasure. He opened a brown wooden box beneath his bed, and inside was a mosaic depicting what the treasure looked like. As Williams stared at it strangely, he touched it and had a flashback of a dream he had about a temple, where a bright light was shining in a room he entered... He immediately snapped out of it.
"How come we were never told about this?" Amelia says, looking at Thomas 'cause he's the oldest one among them.
"I guess our parents never believed in it," he responded softly.
Mr. Huger agreed...
"Most people here also don't believe in it."
Jinx noticed William's unusual silence and couldn't help but ask, "Can we have the box?"
William seemed a bit nervous and hesitated before replying, "I'm not sure, Jinx. We're supposed to be searching for our colleague, not some treasure."
But Williams quickly added, "But remember, those pirates who took Emily were asking about a treasure. I have a feeling that this box might lead us to Emily."
Mr. Huger, without saying anything further, handed the box to Williams.
