I'm bleeding
And from my veins
Lilacs
Pouring down over my skin
With each petal
One by one
It's the most beautiful fragrance
But the most excruciating pain
Though it's okay if it's beautiful
Isn't it?
If I open my chest
You'd find no heart beat in my ribcage
Because there, lilacs grew
A wildlife and three hundred flowers
It's like an inner garden
Something I wish was kept hidden
But by constantly being hurt
The wounds across my body unraveled
The sweetness, the ripe and the gems
Which crystallized off the leaves
When coldness seeped through them
Left me open, unable to hide
And though it hurst to pluck myself out
I know I won't die
'Cause from your hand
You picked up the petal before it could turn to dust on the floor
You kept it close to your heart
You kept it warm and kept it unhurt.
From my veins, bleeding lilac
But even in the most hopeless storms
I know that you're there to keep me away from the dark.
