Shin couldn't understand it, how could a Kai turn evil? Kais were supposed to be pure of heart. But he pushed that question from his mind remembering Zamasu and how he succumbed to evil because of how he felt about the acts of mortals.

Shin put the book back on the shelf and realized night was about to fall. He walked outside and admired the beautiful sky from his planet, looking up at the several moons and beautiful twinkling stars, the sunset turned the horizon a beautiful shade of pink and orange,

He then thought of Nishi, the west Supreme Kai, and how they would sit by the flowing river watching the sunset. The sight had always been breathtaking.

Shin heard footsteps behind him and turned to see Kibito looking at the sky smiling,

"It's beautiful isn't it." Kibito said turning to Shin,

Shin smiled back "Yes, it is. Nothing can compare to this"

Shin then closed his eyes thinking of the supreme Kais once again, he smiled a warm smile and turned to Kibito.

"We should get some sleep Kibito."

Kibito nodded and smiled once again as they both walked back to the palace.

After saying goodnight to Kibito and his ancestor he changed out of his Kai outfit into a short sleeve shirt that went to his knees and a pair of shorts that were covered by the shirt, he lay in his bed and put a pillow over his face trying to forget his devastating past, he turned on his side and cried himself to sleep.

The next morning Shin woke to a subtle knock on his door,

Shin sensed Goku's energy and looked at his clock to see that it was 4 in the morning and wondered why Goku was here so early.

Shin opened the door softly and squinted his eyes at the harsh light.

"What's going on?" he said softly rubbing his eyes while holding a big, soft pillow in his arms.

Goku just looked at the young Kai with a confused look on his face. The Kai's eyes were sleepy and his hair was tousled.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Said the young Kai in a soft and innocent voice.

"Oh, sorry for waking you so early, but one question. Why aren't you wearing any pants?"

Shin then threw the pillow at Goku's head, but Goku only chuckled.

"I'm sorry it's just that you look like a child that's all." He said giggling.

Shin just sighed "Why are you here?"

"Oh yeah! guess what," Before Shin could answer, Goku cut him off,

"It's my birthday!"

"Oh, well, happy birthday." Shin said in a cheerful, yet sleepy voice.

"And I want you to come to my birthday party!" Goku said.

"Okay, I'll come, but couldn't you have waited to ask me later, It's early..."

"Well, we're actually having the party at 4:30 in the morning because it's the time I arrived on earth on this day." Goku looked so happy.

Shin smiled a warm smile, Goku was celebrating the day he arrived on earth and not his real birthday, Shin appreciated that Goku cared for Earth the way he did, thinking back on everything that Goku has done to save his home planet.

"Oh yeah Supreme Kai, could you wake up elder kai and Kibito and tell them to come too for me?" Goku said smiling.

"Of course." Shin gave a smile back to the Saiyan.

"Oh, and Supreme Kai, you need to eat more, you're so small, I'll make sure you eat at the party okay." Goku said laughing and before Shin could protest he teleported back to Earth.
