The Source

Goku was hiding behind a tree listening to the Kais, he had teleported to the Sacred world of the Kais after Shin had left unexpectedly from the party,. He felt something was wrong with Shin so he followed him and made sure to stay hidden.

"-He waited for the crystals to glow again, but they never did since he wasn't a current Supreme Kai, he wanted the greatest power in the universe, even going as far as killing his fellow Kais to become the current Supreme Kai in order use the crystals to carry out his evil plans on universal domination."

"If that is true Supreme Kai, then how could you be feeling them now?"

"I-I don't know, that was years ago, he couldn't be...alive...Could he?"

"What!?" Goku yelled as he jumped out from behind the tree.

"Goku! How long have you been here!?" Shin asked hoping he didn't hear anything they had just said but knew that he had heard everything.

"Long enough! Who's Zephyr! Why'd he turn evil over crystals! Why'd he kill the Kais! Do you think he's still alive!? How strong is he!"

"Goku please, don't get involved." Shin pleaded.

"But the universe could be in serious danger! How long were you going to keep this from me?"

"Goku, you can't tell anyone, do you understand?" Shin said sternly.

"I knew there was something wrong Supreme Kai, that's why I followed you here. You can't keep this from everyone. How do you expect me to keep this a secret?" Goku pouted.

"Goku, for the last time...you must not tell anyone. I don't want to alarm anyone, this may not even be what we suspect, those crystals were destroyed. And Zephyr never got the chance to use the crystals since he destroyed the source. Without the cave, the crystals have no power to them. They need a source." Shin stated.

"But you said he injected a crystal in his chest right, so what if he's the source."

Everyone went silent...

Elder Kai was the one to break the silence.

"Goku, you may be right."

"Really?" Goku looked confused.

"Yes, the crystals very well may still be active, feeding off of Zephyr's energy." Elder Kai said with a sigh.

"If he is alive..." Shin started speaking softly to himself but didn't finish.

"What were you going to say supreme Kai?" Goku asked.

"I-I...It's nothing." He stuttered out.

Goku noticed that Shin was stuttering and shaking, he grabbed Shin's hands in his own.

"Supreme Kai, your hands are so cold, and you're shaking, are you okay?"

"I-I'm fine." Shin would have pulled his hands away, but he couldn't feel them.

"I'm going to look for Zephyr." Shin stated.

"What!? What do you mean you're going to look for him? You can't go looking for him by yourself!" Goku insisted while letting go of his hands.

"I'm not going anywhere." Just then Shin materialized a crystal orb just like the one they had used to watch Majin Buu years ago.

"I'm going to use this."

"Woah, so you can find him with this, That's pretty neat." Goku said amazed.

"Maybe...I don't know what he looks like so I'm going to have to look for his energy. If it is him, I can search out his energy and it'll show me where he is. If it's not him, it'll show me where the energy is coming from, but it may not work since I'm not feeling that energy anymore." Shin said sitting down in the grass.

Goku sat down beside him and looked over Shin's shoulder at the orb, then at his face, he was so concentrated, Goku looked back down at the orb and saw a picture start to form in it, it was hundreds of galaxies.

"Woah..." Goku whispered. Shin heard him and smiled.

He gently grabbed Goku's hand and put it on the orb, moving his hand slowly on the orb it zoomed in on a white galaxy.

Goku smiled at the sight, the stars were so beautiful.

"This is...amazing." He said almost to himself, he then removed his hand so Shin could keep searching. He watched as Shin placed his hands softly on the magical orb and gently move them, zooming in on the galaxy and into a beautiful purple nebula, where planets, and stars were scattered. Comets flew by the stars, and it looked as if the universe was in a cosmic dance.

After about 45 minutes of searching Shin still couldn't find Zephyr or a trace of the power he had felt.

"I can't find anything." He said annoyed.

'If only I knew what he looked like...'
