"Even if the Crystals glow in three months, that doesn't mean Zephyr won't show before then. We have to prepare for when that time comes." Gohan stated with a serious expression.

"You're right Gohan. I suppose anyone who wishes to can train on my world. It's far sturdier than earth and you won't have to worry about interruptions or the safety of the earthlings." Shin stated as he looked down in thought.

"Actually, Supreme Kai I think I've got a better place to train!" Goku exclaimed, his face lighting up.

"You do? Where?" Shin asked turning to him. Goku nodded and pointed with his thumb at a door on the lookout.

"The Hyperbolic Time Chamber! Dende fixed it up to let two people stay in it for three years at a time!" Goku's grin practically extended to his ears.

"Now we can train all we want and not have to worry about staying in too long!"

"So dad, are you going in with Vegeta?" Gohan asked.

"Um...Actually, I think I'll train with Supreme Kai."

"What!?" The whole ground said in unison, shock evident in their voices.

"You...want me to train with you? You won't get much stronger sparring with me."

"Of course I will! Don't sell yourself short Supreme Kai, I've been waiting to see what you have up your sleeve." Goku said while leaning in and putting an arm around Shin's shoulders.

"Kakarot! This isn't the time to test him! This is the time to actually improve!" Vegeta scowled.

"Oh, come on Vegeta! I really want to train with him. Please? I promise you and me can train later. And besides, Supreme Kai needs to get stronger too, he knows more about Zephyr than we do. We need him." Goku pleaded with puppy dog eyes. Vegeta scoffed and looked away annoyed.

"Fine, but don't think you can surpass me by training with him."

"Awesome! Thanks Vegeta!" Goku exclaimed. Then Shin spoke up,

"Goku, I can't leave my duties to train. I have to be here to watch over my universe. I can't afford to spend three years away." he said.

"Huh? Oh, don't worry Supreme Kai, you're forgetting that it will only be three days in the mortal world!" Goku said with a grin.

"Oh, yes, you're right..." Shin looked down in thought. Just then, they all heard a voice in their heads.

"I suggest you take up the offer Supreme Kai. This ordeal with Zephyr is quite important." It was Whis's voice. Shin looked up at the sky and said,

"Are you sure Whis? The consequences of a Kai not doing his duty even for a few days could be dire..." Shin muttered. Then, another voice rang in their ears,

"Come on Kai. Just train with the Saiyan. You and I both know that a little training will do you good and I'm sick and tired of worrying about you dying and taking me with you. Don't forget about our life link." Beerus said impatiently.

"You didn't seem to care about my life when Buu was released. Why care now?" Shin said skeptically. Beerus growled and just before he was about to lose his patience, Whis stepped in and said,

"Come now, Supreme Kai. It will do you good. Besides! It might make you feel better about your abilities." Whis coaxed.

Shin squeezed his eyes shut and thought,

"Three years with Goku!? This is absurd...But at this point, I have no choice."

Shin sighed and muttered,

"Fine...But even if it is only three days, I need someone to take over for me." Shin concentrated his energy, creating a telepathic link between him and his assistant.

"Kibito, I need you to come to me right away."

"Yes master. I will be right there."

After a moment, Kibito appeared beside Shin and bowed deeply to him.

"I am here, master. What is it you need assistance for?" Kibito asked. Shin turned to his assistant and said,

"Kibito, I need you to take over for me as the Supreme Kai for a few days, perhaps a bit longer if needed. No questions asked." Kibito looked up at his master and nodded, asking,

"Are you sure, master?" Shin nodded solemnly and he said,

"I am putting my trust in you. Can I trust you with this, Kibito?" Kibito nodded with respect for his master, grateful that he entrusted his universe with him. Shin smiled slightly and said,

"Thank you Kibito. I am sure that everything will be under control when I'm gone."

"Yes master. It will be, I assure you."

"Thank you, Kibito. You may be dismissed." Shin said with a bow. Kibito teleported back to the Sacred world of the Kais and Goku turned to Shin.

"So...you can train now, right?" he asked. Shin chuckled lightly and said,

"Yes Goku. I can train with you." Goku jumped in the air with a triumphant shout.

"Woohoo! So, we go now?" he asked excitedly, taking Shin's hand and ready to drag him off to the chamber.

"Actually Goku, I think we should do things differently. We have three months at most, so first, you and Vegeta train together while I meditate, preferably in my palace. I have a meditation chamber and I'll meditate nonstop to improve my mental preparedness. Then when you two are done, you and I can train together." Shin stated.

"Aww, come on." Goku pouted, but Shin shook his head.

"Goku, I feel this is a more effective strategy. We don't know when Zephyr will strike. It may be three months from now or it may be three days from now. So, you two will need to improve. Saiyans have more potential than me and you will improve far greater. It will be a safer play." Shin stated closing his eyes in thought.

"I'll keep looking for Zephyr, now that I have a description. If I find him, I may be able to keep an eye on him for you. I'll make sure he doesn't get too close while we're unprepared."

"Alright, I guess." Goku sighed.

"So, it's settled. I will go back to my planet to meditate, and you come to me when you're ready." Shin said with a slight smile.

"Deal!" Goku chuckled.

"Alright Vegeta. Let's go train!"
