Claire's POV

"Bow down to me, you filthy rats!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. My face was burning and I could tell that it was red. My thin fingers were slipping from the glass crystal filled railing, but I refused to let go. My hair was was going in all types of directions and I had a wicked smirk on my face. I was dangling from the gigantic chandelier in the grand hall.

It was the most fun I'd had all week. Hell, all my life.

My mother wasn't here to scold me about being proper and tell me how much she disapproved. The only ones here were Valdus and two other bulky gaurds Atticus left me with. Private gaurds.
The rest of the gaurds were patrolling outside or sniffing their butts somewhere. Oh! That's another lovely factor. His gaurds were wolves.
Werewolves.

I was gonna have a lot of fun with this. I had already thrown silver spoons at one of the gaurds, which got Valdus laughing as the other gaurd winced. Atticus left me alone with gaurds, I guess I took it pretty well. I mean, there wasn't supposed to be any type of reaction from me, I shouldn't care. But I did.
So therefore, I acted the best way that I could. I rebelled.
The two bulky, massive, werewolf gaurds in black armor were circling the chandelier. They thought that I was going to fall.
I proceeded to drop one hand from the rim of the chandelier and let out a gasp. I watched their reactions.

"No!" The blonde one screetched, making a start to directly under me, to catch me. The one with acne and a beard paled a bit. Another factor that I hadn't known. Did you know, that I can make a werewolf turn white as snow with just a few actions?
Let's say for example, if I dropped from this chandelier, I would be dropping into a snow storm. Or a cloud of marshmallows, because the sickly pale werewolves would catch me.

Even Valdus was panicking, the calm, hilarious, granola bar eating, pop tart thief (which I'm pretty sure he was just covering for Atticus) was wide eyed and on the phone. I had heard him screaming into it as I started to swing on the chandelier.

"No man! Just alert the king, right away! No- She's hanging off of the fucking chandelier! Me, calm down? Fine, why don't you come over here, show the king what's happening, and be fucking calm as he rips your balls off! That'll show you to be fucking calm!" He then proceeded to hang up and dial another phone number. I laughed. He said the word fuck a lot when he was upset.

I had never really heard Valdus in this panicking state, and it made me feel bad. I kinda regretted what I was doing, but my inner conscience told me to make a scene. I didn't really know why.

Truth be told, I didn't know why I was acting this way. Like a spoiled brat. Perhaps because of the truth? Yeah, maybe they shouldn't have told me. I was better off not knowing.

It was making me freak out in the worst way possible, creating hell for others. See, I do this cute thing when I panic. I make others panic with me.
