January 23rd

"Tay, what time is Tree calling with the noms again?" Travis appeared in the living room entryway, dish and towel in hand, looking like the perfect picture of a manly football playing housewife.

"10. The same time she told us yesterday. And last week. And the week before that." Taylor rolled her eyes at her husband.

"Sorry, I'm just nervous," Travis replied, walking over to kiss her on the forehead.

"You're nervous?" Taylor said dryly, rolling her eyes for the second time in a minute.

"Don't give me that look! It's the same way you were nervous before the Superbowl last year!" He laughed.

"This is different," Taylor tried to be stern but couldn't stop her smile from breaking through.

"I'm also nervous because I'm nervous for three people!" Travis told her, setting his dish down on the side table before coming next to her on the couch.

She raised one eyebrow quizzically.

"As your husband, I'm nervous for you, but I'm also nervous for you because the doctor said stress is bad for you and baby, so I'm also nervous for our baby because she's too little to be nervous. That's three people!" Travis explained, drawing the singer into his arms, placing his hands gently on her 4 month baby bump.

She laughed, head on his chest. "That makes no sense."

"I still can't believe you might get an Oscar for your Aristocats song," Travis chuckled, kissing her forehead.

"Blame Ryan," Taylor smiled, thinking back to the day she got the mystery phone call.

One year ago, October 26th

Taylor sighed, collapsing in the king sized hotel bed, spreading out like a starfish. She had just finished her Night 2 show in New Orleans. Her phone buzzed on the nightstand. Groaning, she rolled over and grabbed it, bringing it close to her face. Checking her notifications, she saw two missed calls from Ryan Reynolds. Extremely confused as to why Ryan would call her twice after midnight, she accepted his call.

"Hey Ryan, what's up?"

"You love cats, right?" Ryan asked her, his tone unreadable.

"Yes, and?"

"Do you want to be in the new Aristocats movie?"

"Do you not remember Cats?" Taylor laughed, assuming he was joking.

"No, I remember, I'm dead serious, Taylor. I auditioned as a joke because Inez loved the movie and said she'd disown me if I didn't. And I didn't hear back for a few weeks and assumed I was in the clear but then they called and said I'm playing Edgar."

"Oh my god," Taylor was on the verge of tears. "This would only happen to you."

"Well, they asked me to talk to you and see if you had any interest in being in the movie or writing a song."

"Ryan, I don't have time to be in a movie. Also, I have no interest in being a cat again, sorry, that time has passed."

"Your tour ends in a few weeks, what could you possibly be doing?" He groaned, pretending to be annoyed.

"Sleeping, trying for a baby, going to football games, you know the usual," Taylor replied.

"Ohhh I see, you're choosing your husband over me," Ryan deadpanned.
