here's part 2, sorry it's so short, I haven't had much time to write recently, yay school! There will definitely be a part 3 (dinner with her parents and travis) and it WILL be longer. my goal is to have it finished before thanksgiving, but it might be a little while until the next update!
After what felt like an aggravatingly long elevator ride to a very nauseous pregnant woman, Taylor arrived in the meeting room, a medium sized room she was renting at some building in downtown Kansas City, as she couldn't be bothered to fly to Nashville nowadays. She was thankful that Taylor of two weeks ago had chosen to rent the room with couches, unsure of what she would do if she was forced to sit at a table all day.
Everyone smiled and turned to her as she walked in, stopping the pleasantries that had previously occurred.
"Hi, sorry, I slept in!" Taylor smiled sheepishly, waving hello to everyone in the room.
"Hi sweetie," Andrea walked over to give her tired daughter a big hug. "Are you sure you're feeling okay?" She whispered in Taylor's ear.
Taylor shrugs. "I feel the same as I've been feeling for the last few weeks." She frowned, clearly tired of feeling constantly sick and exhausted.
"I'm sorry, hon," Andrea said, rubbing Taylor's back over her sweatshirt. "It's going to get better soon."
"I really hope so." Taylor smiled softly at her mom as they pulled apart, letting everyone else in the room greet the singer.
Her dad gave her a similar greeting, being the only other person to know about the pregnancy, while the rest of her board gave her handshakes and hugs, some telling her she looked like she was coming down with something. Taylor smiled slightly: if only they knew.
Tree was the last to approach the singer, giving her a hug before pulling back to look at her critically. "Are you okay?"
Taylor nodded, forcing on a fake smile. "Yeah, why?"
"I don't know," the redhead paused, eyes raking Taylor up and down. "I just..." she trailed off, meeting Taylor's eyes. After searching the blonde's soul for what seemed like an eternity, but was in reality a few seconds, Tree smiled knowingly, squeezed Taylor's shoulders, and went back to her seat on the navy couch. She most definitely knew.
"Are you ready to start?" Andrea asked.
"Let me just run to the restroom quickly and then yes," Taylor responded, dropping her purse on a couch next to her dad before leaving the room.
Once she used the bathroom- the baby in her stomach made her constantly need to go, Taylor took the opportunity to redo her hair, making sure to smooth out the lumps. Her phone buzzed and she pulled it out from her pocket, seeing a new text from Travis.
Did you make it to the meeting? Your mom said you were running late. Do you need anything?
She smiled and typed out her response.
Just got here. Mere knocked over my phone and somehow fucked up the alarm🙄. I'm good, but your baby is making me feel sick.
Almost immediately after she sent the text, Travis liked it. Taylor chuckled softly to herself. She loved how much he cared about her and the baby. Since their very first meeting, he'd always been attentive to her every need. His attention had only multiplied when they found out she was pregnant. Before she could even think about needing something, Travis had it. If she asked for anything, it was there in a heartbeat.
Sometimes it felt almost smothering, the fact that he did everything for her. He did all of the cat chores. He helped her get dressed, get undressed, shower, even attempted to help her write songs by playing piano chords when she felt too sick to get out of bed, but had a really good idea. He tried his best to cook, or ordered takeout from a restaurant when his recipe following skills left something to be desired. Most of the time, however, Taylor couldn't help but find it endearing how much he wanted to be involved. How much he loved the two of them.
